I miss it as well, and I am not in favor of a Like button over which the user has discretion, as some have suggested earlier in this thread. I do hope they bring back Likes. cn

OMG, I clicked and clicked. lol.

I miss the 'like' button.

...folks aught to select a universal 'smiley' that can replace likes. Although likes are the equivalent to the "Noooooorm" feeling one gets when signing in, a smiley could work.

note: if you didn't watch Cheers, that post will make less sense than my usual pennings ;)

Just type the word you want to use as the link, then highlight said word, then click the link button and enter the url, then done.

Show us computer illiterates how to do hotlink like you did... Pleeeeaaaase. (I'd use a brown noser icon if they had one)
Highlight text and hit the link button - enter in link. If you want the address to something like the rep icon then right click it and select "copy link address" or whatever similar option your browser has.

Personally I think everyone's like button should direct you here <--link

I want one too, but I want the one that lights up the Notifications. It was one of the treats of having an active posting day. cn
I understand that. Every once and a while a 'like' from an ancient post would appear and start the conversation all over again. Now I'm starting to feel needy, I want affirmations (likes) from strangers on a drug related website.

Well, yeah! Smoking alone is inferior. The Likes made for exactly that sense of community you identified. You pretty much nailed it with that post. Like! cn
