Help Something Keeps Chewing My Stems On my Plants

I just started 6 autos and one photo and a few had the lower part of the stems chewed and were leaning over so I put dirt up to the bottom leaves but not sure what keeps doing this birds maybe rabbits deer not sure I spray with bug spray but not sure plz help if u know what's going on no pics as I forgot to take some

Yea I find slugs here n there but how do I kill them or keep them away I put 7 dust and been using spray but didn't think slugs would do that

they chew off a stem then sit there and drink the sap even tiny ones do it. they make slug bait get it at any garden center. we have giant banana slugs they get up to 8 inches but they don't seem t, it's the official insect of N. CA....nah.

So I went up today and on the top layer of dirt it look like Sylvia from maybe a deer not sure what's eating them but I put dirt up to the bottom leaves so hope it helps
