Hello there... I am in need of some help sexing my babies. I started them out indoors about 3 months ago. Was planning on keeping them indoors but my wife wouldnt let that happen :<. So i put 3 of the best looking ones in a 15 inch pot outside in good soil with plant food, and have been using fish emulsion once a week. they are about 4 feet tall and i think they are starting to show sex. im pretty sure the last one is female but you guys are the experts. The strain is either nirvana or early misty. thanks for any help you can give!!!

I can't tell. Does your camera have a macro mode? If so, did you use it? If not, can you try it and get closer to the calyxes? ;)

I have a young Nirvana Papaya plant that just showed sex yesterday. I took a pic and labeled what you're looking for on a female. Hope it helps! (Sorry the pic's a tad blurry. I took about 60 pics, and that was the best one.)

Pinch off the top of the main shoot (or slice it off, whatever). Do it right above a branch that has two leafy looking clumps and those clumps will turn into two tops. If you slice right through the top head and do it just right (seems more like luck than anything else), sometimes you can get more than two tops; I've had four before. People call that FIM (Fuck, I Missed), but it's just a modified way of topping really.

You can do the same thing to the branch shoots and split them too, creating more eventual bud sites. They call that 'pruning for yield'. If you do that, don't prune more than half of the plant at a time, so it doesn't get too stressed.

im not for sure but id lean more to the side of female, i dont see any signs of the male yet, but just wait for a couple more weeks examining for little balls, once u see them for sure that plant has to be pulled out for sure

I believe Fem. If it was male then you would have seen the pollen sacs at that stage in growth.
