I place a zip lock baggie over them for the evening...the humidity will soften it and it'll open reaching for the light

Or plastic wrap / rubber band .

I’m in the same position but mine has only been above soil for a day almost 2

I sometime have to open the husk myself otherwise it may never open, experience is the only thing here mate.
