so im hoping that since this is my 5th post needing help ( no help received on the last 4 posts) that someone knowledgable will help. here goes:

the first pic is of the soil i recently picked up around a week ago, is it fine to use ?

The next three pics are of the make shift wall i put up to block out light and kind of hide whats behind the wall ( not that anyone is ever aloud into my bedroom) i have two holes used for air movement with two fans inside. theres also a fan on my window sill used for Ghetto A/C ( it does pull in lots of cold air too

Lastly the girls are my problems. click the pic to enlarge and youll see what im dealing with.

before these problems happened. i had stunted growth. so i went out and bought 9-6" pots. and a bag of schultz soil with time released nutes. is that my problem right there ? its taken on to much nutes from the soil ?

Maybe there was some nute burn mate because i can see some yellowing on the leaves ... this could also be down to the lights being to hot for the plants to handle ... also make sure there is a circulation of clean air around the room because the plant tend to not like the stagnant air like in my cuboard :)

why have the cloth up? it does nothing for ya. the soil you have there i dont like, it will most likely have slow release nutes and that is causing your problem. and you cant flush thats tuff.
what is the ph? how much water and how often, and any nutes.
if it`s in a bedroom and have the whole room, you only need the oscilating fans for air, blowing on the tops of plant

You need to let everyone know a little more background ie were they grown from seeds / cuttings? When in the cycle were the cuttings taken - veg, start of flower, two weeks into flower?
Those plant s look stressed but that could be caused by any number of issues. The more info you give the easier it might be to help diagnose your problem. Don't get me wrong I'm no expert but it will help some of the more experienced growers here give you advice.

yea definitely not a good potting soil if it has time released nutes that means everytime u water u are givin ur babies nutes and they are getting too much therefore causing nute burn....

ok, so where my signature is theres a link that goes to my grow. click that and there should be all the info you need. as for nute burn. you guys are all correct. i didnt know anythiny about this but its defitently the problem. i cant afford to get new soil as ijust bought this. i know it sounds ghetto but can i pull out as many nute balls from the soil ? for example. i pull plant out as if im transplanting, shake out and rub out soil gently as hell. and pull out time released nutrient balls ?

and as for ppl asking about the pointless cloth. its not. i have a lot of traffic coming in and out of my apartment and without this makeshift wall. my place would be so fucking bright

i`m not pokin fun at you. i just dont understand how you keep it dark, it has to be completely dark. so much as a lighter going at night for any period of time may screw you.
you will never get the nutes out of the soil.
any nutes yet?
let the soil dry up till the plant wilts a bit, then ph the water and water it till you get some run off. then let dry up good again. repeat till it improves if it does. no more nutes if you are. everytime you water it gets nutes so thats the problem

I had the same problem with some crappy miracle grow soil. Don't listen to those who say you can't flush. I know you can't get rid of all the nutes in the soil, but you can get rid of whats already been released by those fucking death balls. When you water, water until it is coming out the bottom holes in the container. I used about 16 oz. of water for 6" pots. I think what really hurts the plants with that soil is that the nutrients that are being released are not being used so they pile up, and then it gets as bad as your current problem. If you flush regularily I dont think the soil would really hurt them that bad. Just keep on flushing every few days for a week and you will see improvement in the new growth. Unfortunately it will be impossible to reverse the damage already done, unless you prune off those worthless burnt up fan leaves, but this is considered to be a no no by some so its up to you.

my ladies are doing the same thing. the tips are yellowing, and in some cases on the bottom leaves, it almost looks like they are rotting away. Im also using miracle grow bullshit with the god damn nute balls in it. Thank god i read this post too, cuz i was lookin at the plants and i thought for a second it might be nute deficiency for christ sake, lol. So im on my way out to get some regular potting soil, along with a bottle of shultz plant food nute mix, so i can control the nutes goin in there myself. I know it kinda sounds like im bein a dick, but thanks for havin this problem man ,otherwise i woulda never known thats what was goin wrong with mine! bongsmilie

bonz - trust me its completely dark in there... behind my make shift wall is a closet with 2 doors that close and it was already dark in there with the closet doors and no sheet.

dankness - why is it considered a no no to prune off fan leaves ? i was told this by someone cause there used in the flower cycle but can you tell me what the real deal is ?

king - you dont sound like a dick lol ... just be greatful .... if i was in the right place and right time such as yourself .. i could have prevent my stupid noobness. so with that said your welcome haha

also , the fact my plant wont look good after its bein damaged ... does this affect the buds or growth at all ?

i used that EXACT same soil and until right now have NEVER had a problem, and i just cut down on nutes, but yea i heard the exact same thing, its jsut my strain can handle nutes like NO tomorrow, so i lucked out with my noobness, but man you can cut the leaves if you want, it will force new leaves to grow from there eventually, but i dont know i used the shultz shit and it worked quite well so far, im a week away form harvest

Hmmm. so you flush all the released nutes. then leave it. so did you not know that when you water them or flush you are releasing even more into the soil, so what do you do to get theat out now?
repeated flushing will kill your harvest.
and flushing is not for getting rid of the nutes it is more for clearing the nutes that weren`t used and salted up

bonz & canna - im using some time released nute fertilizer on these two breeds and theyve hated it. its been just over a week since i used the new soil and my plants all seemed like they were going to eventually keel over and die. two days ago i took each plant seperatly as if i was transplanting, and gently rubbed out as much loose dirt as i could. i then sifted through the dirt to pull out any time released balls and then planted the girl again into the same pot.i gave the girls a tiny bit of water after that since the soil was hellllllllla dry. then they went to bed. this mornin ( right now ) i did a flush on all 7 that were in 6" pots .... which leavves me with 2 in the bigger pots. i havent watered those bad boys since i transplanted them two days ago and they seem to be doin alot better, so today im gonna do the same thing as the others and see how that goes.

Bonz .. im doin a repeated flushing like you dont suggest. its the only way this is going to work for me. its a low to no budget grow ( using what ive got ) and these plants seem strong enough to carry on.

ill take some snap shots with my phone in a few hours and show you guys how many nute balls i pulled out and some of the girls to show how good there doing.i topped one of my plants like a week ago and shes doin GREAT now ... shes got three different sprouts out the top. i dont think i perfected it tho cause where i pinched is still pinched ... but directly beside it a branch sprouted up with 3 more sprouts

There are only so many nute balls in the soil. I know it says 3 months on the bag but that is if you are watering normally, flushing seems to get rid of them fast. Why do you act as if what I said doesn't make sense. You buy crappy miracle grow soil, water normally, nutrients build up because your plant is young and doesn't need them, then plants burn. Now if you flush every water on the contrary, nutes never get a chance to build up, still release, but don't build up, then the plant grows, eventually it needs the nutes and you're fine. Seems to make sense to me mr. sassy pants.

ha ha. hey it`s your grow, must be a small harvest with all that stress from flushing.
i think the main point here is mg is hard to work with and isn`t worth the effort

Well glad to hear it worked out for you man, good to hear things are looking up. Like I said only the new growth will actually look fully recovered, but if they are reaching for the light again and the leaves are clawing less they should make it. Wait until the plant has a few new sets of fans and then you are probably good to prune off that old burnt crap. Good luck brother and kudos for helping your girls back to life. Peace. :peace:
