That is a pretty tall order, and I wouldn't even really know where to start. I pretty much started by lurking the forums, I think this is a good place to get started. https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/1326-101-already-asked-questions.html I also think getting 1 good book is a good way to get a good overview. I don't think I could have gotten by on that knowledge alone, but I have the "grow bible" on Kindle, was cheaper than a bookstore. Multiple books to me is kinda overdoing it in my opinion, gotta get your hands on some things. If you can find a quality seed or cutting, there is no reason Walmart and Home Depot don't have everything you need to grow a quality plant.

I think there is a forum here actually tagged with the words "grow" and "bible" that I remember being a good read. Learn the basics, then learn the details about whatever stage you want to start at. If you want to start with seeds, then learn all you can about the seeds. Once you learn about the seeds, you'll have a week or 2 waiting on seeds to learn what comes after. If you know someone that has plants already and can give you cuttings for clones, then learn everything you can about clones. While waiting for clones to root, it gives you a couple weeks to learn about what comes next.

This is all assuming you just want to grow a plant or 2 for fun, or for some extra smoke on the side. Anything bigger and I think you should maybe do some more extensive preparation.

I got the bible also, and constantly refer back to it, I think it is an essential asset for any grower, I read it at least 10 times before I began my project. I am on my 3rd week of actual growing and things are looking good.

beginner growing kit: MG moisture control soil (walmart, HD, lowes); pot: 1 gallon per foot plant height (black pot) go without nutes for a while you can get them later; lights, whatever you can afford. feel the weight of the pot with dry soil, then water it until you have runoff and feel the weight again and water your plants based on the weight of the pot. hope this was helpful. happy growing and as always, stay smokey :leaf:
