Since this was the 1st, I decided to go with the most common soil & nutes. My grow consist of 2 afghan kush plants that are under 400w hps. I'm using foxfarm ocean forest soil with foxfarm nutes. Noticed that ff was kinda hot for my plants so I backed off nute amounts. Things we going ok until I left them for about a week. When I returned I noticed major leaf curl. The fan leaves had curled under like a rams horn. Since I'm a newbie I when searching in forum trying to find the solution. I just got confused after trying several options. Thought it may be have been salt build-up do to ff high NPK levels. Flushed both plants 2 days ago but no sign of improvement. I'm in my 3rd wk of flowering & I don't want my babies to die. Temps are on average around 75 degrees with lights & 67 degrees off. Humidity levels are on average 40-49%. Can anyone inform me of what the problem could be & how to solve it if possible?:?
Tried to upload some pics but can't figure it out. I will keep trying.

To upload a pic use the "Advance" posting or the advance editing page.
As far as your plants I need a pic to comment on them~

What do those leaves feel like when you touch them? A N overdose did this to one of my plants and it never completely recovered although it didn't affect the yield or anything... your leaves look really deep green the same thing might have happened to you as well as an underwatering/overwatering problem.

hum.. when u flush u may have released the remainder of frets, this could have been a cause and effect relationship. Lay off the frets but the looks of it... get into the habbit of adding a weekly additive such as Vitamax or B52 by advance. BTW your ppm is good and pH is ideal about 6.2-6.4 in my opinion. But jus too much frets to often.

thankx. I will back off the ferts for a while. Should I extend the flowering time since there will be a delay due to shock?

the leaves are kind of crispy. Some of my braches that aren't bearing fruit seem to be getting weak as well. Tips look like nute burn so I backed off the amount of ferts. just bought some cal-mag, should I add this or hold off?

i run fox farm OF but i use flora nova nutes.(same shit)plus i use a 400 watt as well in a cabinet... i know where your coming from brotha, i can almost guarantee your over watering, my first couple grows looked the EXACT same, u think its over nute, then you flush, then u wait...i been there... the whole time you think its overnute youve been adding water thinking it will get the crap/salt/nute buildup out...just wait and dont add anything, bel;ieve me. dont water till they are bone dry and the pots feel like pure air. then add water with like 1/6 strength nutes and only water a cup or 2. try this....dont get all crazy and starting adding cal mag and this and that. just chill.....

if you still dont believe me, these are what my nugs are looking like these days in the 400 watt cabinet...(pictures taken yesterday)......HPIM1619.jpgHPIM1621.jpgHPIM1633.jpgHPIM1609.jpgHPIM1632.jpg

They're done when 75% of the trichomes have turned amber. Don't try to plan a harvest date, you need to wait until the plant says its done. Pick up a nice, cheap 30x pocket microscope. It shouldn't run you more than 10 bucks or so. Hope this helps :joint:

if the leaves are crispy one of 2 things are happening. water isnt getting to the leaf - underwatering, or the roots arent taking up water cuz its toxic - too many nutrients

id foliar feed some pure water daily (get the undersides of the leaves too!), and flush the soil a bit to get rid of excess nutrients and salts, and give them time to recover

i grow afganistan and from looking at your leafs there telling me a few things first off your temps are prob to high secondly your humidity might be to low you need to get more fresh air in there
Afganistan can take alot of nutes and i think thats also what there needing most importantly is ph in soil you got to maintain ph 6.4 to 7.0 i strive for 6.8 to 7.0 at all times for soil grows
how big are your pots there in how long have you vegged you mentioned you flushed let soil dry up and give it another feeding

To your liking.

Many other smokers prefer a less heady high. I like to harvest before many trichomes have turned amber. Amber trichs = CBN.
