Hello !
I think there might be something wrong with my plants. This is my first time and i have no fancy setup. I just took some soil from our garden and put it in some pots.
My seed are from some bad smoke i stumbled over some time ago. And just for wanted to see if i could grow plants.

They have come up a bit and they lokked healty until a few days ago. The whole plants seems to bee "duller" than they used too be. The tip of the leaves are bending down and there seems to be some grey...metalic "dust" on the leaves.
One of the plants is also showing some red color at the top of the stem.

any suggestions are welcome

please pardon my english
thank you

I am not positive but I think you may have thrips. Probaly came in with the soil from the garden. Look close at the top of the soil right after watering. I think it is possible too see them in the soil.

beware of pests , outdoor unsterilized soil brings them to ure gro area where its warm . they thrive , thrips , mites , mold and nats to name a few and can cause mj a lot of unnecessary problems . u better go to lowes and get some safer insecticide soap spray and get some perlite and mix bout 50/50 with ure soil to loosen it up and help drainage . mj likes lite airy soil and if ure planning to get nutes at lowes/depot id suggest alaska fish emulsion :leaf:

What you have is dirt not soil. You need to get soil, nutrients, insecticide and move the light closer.

he said it came from a garden so gonna take a wild guess and say its soil like he said not plain dirt from the yard. as for the dull colors agree with the one above aboid you need to get but that you need NEW soil and to move the lights closer. most of the plants i see dull like that on here are using super cheap soil like the bag for 1$ at walmart. i used a 6$ 20lb bag of some crop builder stuff i thought was soil when i bought. mixed that with yard dirt perlite and a splash of piss in the water every couple days my plants are looking great.

If you do have thrips, and I think you do, just changing the soil will not take care of the problem completely. The larva stage of this pest lives in the root zone. You still will have to deal with your pest prob. Check out Genhydro.com. They have some really good products just for thrips.
Quick breakdown on thrips:
Little flies lay thier eggs in your soil. Same little flies are responsible for the leaf damage. They like to suck the juice from the tips of the leaves. And the 'glitter' on the leaves are thier waste.
The eggs hatch and you have little larva in your soil. They set up house in your plants roots. Actually living off your plants roots. Then they pupate. Hatch, then.......
Back to the little flies. Its a tough cycle to break but can be done.
Rough breakdown I know. But I think its basically covers it.:dunce:

damn :(
i live i Norway and we dont have to many diffrent nutrients to choose from in stores.
We have all the comercial stuff, and a few diffrent for growing mj. I asked for perlite, they didnt even know what it is! Anyway, the soil from my garden is soil. I took it out of a pot plant. I also told the dude in the head shop about my problems. He advised me to buy cannazym and rhizotonic. So that is what i did. To day i am going to change the soil and feed the plant. But for the bugs i need spray? is there no other alternative?
Thank you all for your innput!
