Take off all those fan leafs right away. Throw them in the trash. Then take a plastic bag and set it below plant and start trimming off all the bud leafs and let them dry. Now keep plants out of the light. No light, kills trichs. Keep a fan blowing in there to circulate air and keep humidity down way down. after a few days stems will be close to breaking when you bend them. Now trim off all those leaf fingers that are stiking out of bud and put them with bud leaf you trimed earlier, make butter out of that, Very Stoney. Now buds, put in a mason jar 1/2 full and close lid, (buy a case at walmart) then 3-4 x a day first 4 days open jars (burp) for a few minutes to allow moisture out and keep them in the dark/cool. after 4 days of that do it 2x a day for 3 days then wait 2 days and open jar and see if buds are moist or not if not close lid and leave alone for a month, if still moist burp once a day for 3 more days.

Good advice GG 13. Only 2 things to add. Handle the buds carefully, so as not to knock off the tricks- let them fall on plastic... carefully. Or gently lay them on the plastic. Second, if the weed becomes too dry, either I (gently) mix it with moist buds or add long, thin slices of carrot to it to rehydrate.

Carrot to moisten? Thats new to me. I use a few apple slices, but you have to becareful they will suck up moisture fast. Then I eat the apple, its good.

Yeah, carrots, because they are not too moist & leave no taste. I read it awhile back & damned if it didn't work perfect. Not chopped round pieces, but long thin slices.

What about the corrot it self. Did you toss it or take a bite?
Apples will moisten some dry bud in less than an hr, how about carrots?

I put the used carrot slices in the worm farm. Quick scares me, too much moisture in one single area, that's why I like the long thin slices, not too much in one single spot. Also, apples produce a gas, naturally. That also scares me. Orange peel works, but I grow orange bud, & didn't want to munipulate the original, organically grown flavor & smell of the weed.

A month after drying I found some buds in the bud dryer I had missed. I put them in a canning jar with a peice of orange slice, with the orange all gone. I thought it had no moisture and nothing would happen. Lo and behold the bud came back to life and cured nice. Could not taste it really, but I hear if you do it right it comes out like oranges. I hear you on the taste of the natural weed, but by then I wanted to try anything. A lot of shake.

I spent a hell of a lot of time & money, growing several strains of shit, Indica & Sativa, & crosses. I was all excited about the reviews from friends about the THC level, & the head or body highs. The results was the same for each type of strain... "The best tasting, most mellow smoking shit I've had. Nothing about the highs or the type of highs. Oh well, the molasses & seaweed made a big difference, the 100% organic growing.
