help please (pictures)

Just placed a batch of rooted clones into veg. Im growing flood and drain, clay pellets, 50 gallon reservoir. Some of the plants are leaf cupping, lack luster, and new growth appears stunted.

Im using GH. 1 ml / gallon micro, grow, bloom. 1.5 ml / gallon calmag. 2 ml / gallon rapid start. ppm = 400, ph = 6.0.

Got any ideas?

how much light? got some air circulating in there? what's your room/res temps?

are you adding your nutes directly to the res? the GH 3 part advises that any fornicating between the micro and other two nute formula's (mixing them together full strength) prior to splash down will cause all sorts of problems. I'm sure you're not doing that, but just wanted to toss it out there cause I've actually seen guys in video's claiming to be top notch, pouring raw micro solution into raw grow/blossom - and the result is a batch of tobacco spit that the plants can't (according to GH) absorb.

I've had the leaves cup up like that before and it's heartbreaking to watch. Many times leaf cupping/twisting/bending/drooping occurs just prior to or immediately following lock-out. If you've noticed the plants daily growth stop dead in it's tracks(and you've seen regular sustained growth prior) you should begin gauging your PPM or EC as regularly as possible .... if the number rises substantially and/or quickly - the plants are locking out nutes. If the number falls lower, it could be a transpiration issue (got a fan blowing?)

Unfortunately, with a res that large and plants so small - it's hard to say what is going on if the PPM/EC number remains constant but the plants continue to show signs of lock-out. You want to see the plants uptaking both nutes and water equally. If one is consumed but the other ignored by the plant - you have a problem with lock out.

GH 3 part has .5 mag and 5 calcium so i doubt it's a cal/mag deficiency - but possible.

If your PH swings way up or down, that too is a tell tale sign of an imbalance in your set up (or possible borg infestation, God forbid).

r those sativa? The blades are so narrow.

temp is 65 - 75 F.

strain is golden goat.

the ph dropped rapidly in the last few hours, slime inside the reservoir! I poured in 1 ml / gallon h202 (35%) and 1 ml / gallon mag amp (1% magnesium and sulfur).

How often are you flooding them? What you should be worried about right now is getting them to grow out some roots. Once they have roots, they can handle the nutes. Run them low PPM, like 200, for a week until they all start to drop roots. Once you can see roots coming out the bottom of your pots, then you can turn up the PPM.

Once they have roots they will take right off. In hydroponics it's ALL about the roots.

I checked ph this morning, not dropping anymore, so the h202 has controlled the infestation for now. Not sure what its done to the roots. I added at 1/3 recommended strength. As stated above - 1 ml / gallon of 35% h202.

They had roots when i put them into the buckets. But now they seem stalled out. Plus 2 ml / gallon rapid start.

I am sticking to the basics - three part, cal mag, rapid start. I always have magnesium deficiencies within a few weeks. Not sure what calcium deficiency looks like.

Does anyone else use cal mag during the first week or two? I even have 70 ppm hard water and still use cal mag.

Patience. Low PPM and let them just sit until they drop roots. Once you have roots they will take off.
