Hello-thanks for looking. Rundown: 5x5x8 closet grow, 4 chemdawg from clone, 600w hps(flower), 4x6bulb t5, transplanted to 4g buckets, roots organic soil/nutes(whole line), intake/exhaust, 2 circ fans one above one below, temps as low as 60 lights off and as high as 74 lights on, hum-30-40, have been getting up to full strength w/ nutes and wife says she maybe went a little big last time, ph runoff is 6.5ish-7.2ish depending on plant. plants are 48-52in after being super cropped cause top was getting too tall, PLANTS WERE VEGGED FOR 6 WEEKS AFTER ROOTING AND HAVE BEEN ON 12/12 FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS NOW, 4-5w TO GO. Any help would be wonderful as i am trying to decide wether to flush or not. Was gonna go with 1/4 nute solution/ 6g h20 per 3.5g bucket.

Problem: Leaves have been turning purple from top of leaf toward the bottom. Mostly on upper leaves. Some lower leaves turning yellow. Should i flush? Is it just drop in temp. Whats best way to deal w/ this? Thanks for the help ALSO, how do they look otherwise for there age?

Maybe some sort of def? Flush them then water with plain for a week and start using nutes again at 1/4 strength. If it doesn't get any better could be you have to up the nutes or possibly it is too cold. They look good tho ~

Those are good looking plants..If the yellowing on leaves are here and there it should not be a problem. Threw out the grow some leaves will just turn yellow and fall off. The purple could be in the genetics but most likely to cool temperature.

Thanks man! weve been using a fairly strong nute program, maybe even more than normal. Im guessing not def unless caused by a lockout from toxicity. Also was wondering about cold air but i guess its hard to tell. thanks

Looks like to me you have a purple strain, cold temps can bring on the purple. Lower leaves yellowing can be normal, so I wouldn't sweat that too much. Are the purple leaves turning yellow afterwards? All in all, that is a very nice looking grow.

IMO I see no need to flush..When over fertilizing the tips of the fan leaves are usually the first to show signs of stress by looking burnt and curling and by the pics your tips look fine..If you want to be safe just lower the nutes next feed a little and see how they react

I totally second this opinion!

Thanks, the purple ones dont appear to turn yellow after. some yellow leaves seemed to take on some of the purple, but just a few. Do you think i should flush or just keep watering as normal?

As Nunotmp said, I would not flush. I would, however, lower your nutes a bit and see. The fact the purple leaves are not turning yellow afterwards, pretty much tells me it's just a normal purple trait, either via DNA or the cold temps or both.

oh, thanks...so no flush just go with 1/4 nutes for next water. Now the tips have shown slight yellowing tips and the leaves effected w/ the purple color are or are beginning to curl under. would that change opinion? Thanks again

It looks like a nutrient deficiency problem, but it's hard to tell. (I'm guessing calcium/magnesium) You said the nutrients were at full strength, so maybe the pH is a little too high. Flush if you like, but then I'd give them 1/2 to 3/4 strength nutrients until harvest time.

OK, so im gonna water w/ 1/4 strength nutes tommorow and then watch to see if it gets better or worse. i'll post my results if anyone wants to see the outcome. thanks for all of your suggestions!

If the leaves are curling under, then you MAY have a problem, yes. Could be cal mag as Hydroguy mentioned, could be just the temps. The yellow tips could be a sign of over fert, watch for further burn on the edges of leaves. I would cut your nutes in half and add some cal mag to your regiment to start.

1 more thing... the water ive been using stays pretty cold. the room it sits in gets down to 60 at night. i let h2o sit 1-2 days before adding to plants. could the cold water cause a reaction like this?

If the tips are showing stress and curling then I would back off the nutes just a little. You shouldn't have to flush so give them 1/4 -1/2 nutrients and see how they react if the problems gets worse over the next couple of days a flush might be necessary but where you sit now it doesn't look to be serious
