Help pertaining to medical marijuana

I just told a family member that I was going to see if my doctor would recommend mmj for me. And I told her that if I get it than the local and state police cant do a thing about it. Though, just like me, we don't trust police because of the few bad ones that fuck up their reputation. Anyways she said to me, " what if they rip up your registration/license?" And...well...what if they did? I'm pretty sure my information would still be in the database on a computer somewhere. But What if they destroy my papers and say I didn't have any papers. Do you know what I could use to protect myself in court? I have a family member that is a local police officer but, I really rather not ask him if I do not have to.

You are really asking this? Of course you will have prescription records and registration records.
That is as dumb as saying "what if they rip up your driver's license!"

Now, don't think that you are completely hands-off. You must be within your legal limits in all ways. Transporting, storing, growing, etc all has to be proper.

You should have a copy of your recommendation to carry and a copy posted with your grow if you are growing. When you get your recommendation simply get an extra copy if you are worried, you can get as many as you like for an extra fee.

It would be stupid for leo to rip up your recommendation, they know you can get another copy also.

What state are you in? Some are kinder than others. I am in Washington State, Western Wa is cool, Eastern Wa they will look for any excuse to hassle you.

Hey Moma,
DK in cognito

I can relate to the OP's feelings. I'm in one of the reddest of red states and have mmj. I waited 2yrs to make sure the state wasn't gonna change its mind and bust everyone that registered...
take a chill and get your card and KEEP IN COMPLIANCE!

Okay, that's what I figured. Its only that I have heard of a out of state case where a judge said he was guilty of, they called it something like possession of mmj without consent or something because they didn't have their paperwork on them while possessing in the car because he had his paperwork at his grow.

red states? Oh, wow. They have a chart that shows where cops may hassle you for mmj possession?

No,yes...I have heard tales of some states laying for residents of mmj states and sweating them.
AZ honors most other states mmj recommendations/cards...
"red state" ...a state that is predominately conservative. Ours isn't conservative enough to remember who's boss. Took 3 initiatives passing before we got mmj.

If you are doing it LEGALLY then why not just put photocopies in a safety deposit box in a bank somewhere.. That way nobody can touch it. And if they are going through that much trouble to catch a guy who is LEGITIMATELY growing/ingesting cannabis, there would prob be another reason behind it, and if there is, well that sucks.
