yo man i saw you were running a water pump all the time for circulation, be careful doing this as it can raise your res tem alot higher than it should be, get an AIR PUMP and aristones, if youre not using drip tubes there is no need for a water pump.
Yeah, it was recommended that I leave the water pump running to circulate some water it is a very small water pump so I am not sure how much heat it creates, but I will experiment and see how much of a difference it makes. I have two air pumps and two 18" air curtains. Thanks for respondin

im takin my air curtains out because they gettin clogged up with algea lookin shit..im gonna get a couple more bubble disks and a lil stronger pump for the next grow,,im gonna use the tent..so i gotta do sum ducting work..15.00-20.00..gotta get the canfan with the carbon filter combo htgsupply.com..like 200.00...Then i need a small window ac unit cause the temps are already 85 F...105.00 plus tax..will be getting these shortly.

Ok, so I think I made some mistakes adding half distilled water and half tap water as my pH is going up to 6.8 really quick now and I could have sworn that I saw a little root rot just by having the roots exposed to the light for a couple minutes.

Either way, tomorrow I'm going to get some more distilled water, scrub the tank a bit, rinse off the roots in correct pH water, and do a little flushing. Then I will add back only distilled water this time. I would guess the high pH (6.8) is locking out the micro nutes making the spotting and discoloration spread further and further up my plant, and the higher than usual temps + adding Hygrozyme again was a mistake. Tomorrow my temps will be back to normal (company is leaving) 65-68F so the plants will like that I think.

I appreciate all the input so far, thanks to all of you for that! I have more pics if any of you would want to take another stab at it.
I am confused where I should start tomorrow with the nutes though if anyone has any input on that. Purpdaddy, I am using a drain to waste, sorry I didn't know what it was before. Where do you think I should go on the nute amounts? I use distilled water, but I don't have cal-mag so I may have to use more micro, no?

I am hoping that the dying leaves you see in the pics will clear up with the correct pH and nutes and other ideal conditions? Or should I just expect them to die off and make new leaves?

Anyway, sorry for lots of text. Thanks for taking a look.

Newer deficiencies showing up on the lower leaves of my healthiest plant, which was spotless before the res change.

The problems getting worse after the change.

I know it's a lot of text, but thank you for helping! :peace:

That's awesome man. You prob already know this, but those bigger air pumps make a lot more heat. I ordered a 4 prong air pump from discount hydro and 6 of those lil "oxystones" but my order got cancelled and never made it, but I think I was glad I didn't get it cuz it creates a lot of heat. Not to discourage you at all man, just alittle 2c from a noob incase you mighta overlooked it. I would imagine you need one of those carbon filters will those huge plants man, those things must reek some sweet goodness I bet.

Once again, you prob. already know this... but i found it made a huge diff in the res temps by raising it up 5-6" and putting a small fan underneath. But no matter, you prob have a water cooler and you got your shit straight already im sure lol. Good luck with those renovations, i'm sure it will be great.

O you just change the nutes every week? you should.

Alright man lemme try to think. On 6/18.... 5/6 of the plants had 4 leaves. So..... doing math in my head.... so almost 4 weeks, be 4 weeks on thursday. A lot of probs tho, so really I think they only on like 2.5-3weeks veg.

I put in 3 gals of distilled to the tank, mixed 56ml of micro into a half gal of TAP water, then 10ml of grow and 15ml of bloom into another half gal together.

It's drain to waste. Recirc would be like a DWC, right?

No other res'... just the bubbleponics tub.

Using flora series nutes.

I would change the nutes every week, but it's been more like every 3-4 days for a long ass time cuz i've done so many drains and replenishings cause probs keep arising. I have never had just the right amount of nutes, always somethin goin on. And the major overnute was a setback too, but it's been over a week since that happened so i hope all that is not still sittin in the plant.

ok we gonna do a drain to waste..its simple and just a procedure for administering nutes..DWC is a way of growing hydroponiclly...This is what we gonna do..mix up 5 ga..ph treat it to 5.5..follow this chart for drain to waste,.mix up nutes for one week..micro,grow then bloom..mix em that oeder..mix one then stir.Mix up the nutes for what stage of growth you in..
i would go 15ml grow..10ml micro..5 ml bloom,10 ml.diamond nectar...5ml..floralicios grow...all values are per gallon.
this chart is only good for vegg..Lemme know how you come out.

Well, you saved me man... I was startin to get all jumbled up with all this crap but now I got some damn good advice. I remember you sayin that you need way more (P) for flower so i'll def. keep that in mind. Only thing is things are already flowering since it's an auto-flower, lol. Was stupid as hell to get an auto-flowering strain for my first grow.. but ah well we will manage.

I don't have any the other additives from GH... got some LK, hygro, and sm-90 but I think best to leave them outta the picture for now, except for a little sm-90 that stuff has always been good to me.

Thanks for layin that shit out with the exact ml/gal that is real helpful to me cause I was lost as to how much I should go at for right now. Be easier to keep track if they start respondin well to these values... just up it slowly from there.

You use RO water i'm guessin? I tried usin half tap water and half distilled this time but my pH is awful cause of it. You know if usin tap water in general just makes your pH less stable... than say straight distilled? Cause I was usin distilled + sm-90 for a few days, pH stayed at 5.7-5.8 without question.

I would like to save some cash and use tap water, my tap ppm is 180 out of the faucet, but if that's gonna cause a lotta problems i'll just stick to the distilled. It could even be good though if the chlorine doesn't cause probs cause of the extra trace minerals which my plants were lackin in for a long time cause of the distilled. If I had some Cal-mag i'd prob be straight on that.. but money is runnin kinda short gone like $400 over my original budget lol.

you know I appreciate the help purp, you cleared up A LOT of questions for me. Thanks man. :peace:

Ok, well the pH is under control... 5.8-5.9 always and the nuting went fine I think, my healthiest plant's leaves are sticking straight up almost for some reason not sure what that is about.

But, I don't know what is going on whatever is killing my plants is spreading further and further up the plant and they are showing no signs of recovering. Can this be some type of fungus/mold or a virus??

I have tried just about everything I think... and they've had the correct nutes and all ideal conditions for two days now and it's only getting worse. It just seems like random discoloration, white spots, orange spots, spreading more and more to the newer growth. What is going on, two of my plants are on their death bed.... please help me out they really aren't lookin so great..

PICS:

Leaves sticking straight up. Healthiest plant that is not showing any big signs of damage..... yet whatever this is IS spreading tho it seems.

The damaged plants don't seem to be responding to the nutes, two of my healthier plants have turned a darker green over the past two days and have shown slight growth, but the damaged two don't seem to be doing anything but spreading whatever they have. Please help!

Peterman your plants leaves are stretching for the light...lower it but not too much youll burn your plants..do the hand test..to see if the heat is too strong for the plant. If it burns the hand itll burn leaf tissue as well.

They are NOT Dying, they are just sick. Mist them, cut the nutes, and give them time to recover.

Thanks Rose and purp, thanks a lot! I have them sitting in distilled water now, w/ the stones running and just got my hands on a good mister from the local garden store. I am going to switch over to 18/6, by the advice of major tom, and mist them right before the lights come on.

Also cleaning out my feeder tubes, so I can put them back in the res, hopin for the best! Thanks again!
