Ok, so I think I made some mistakes adding half distilled water and half tap water as my pH is going up to 6.8 really quick now and I could have sworn that I saw a little root rot just by having the roots exposed to the light for a couple minutes.
Either way, tomorrow I'm going to get some more distilled water, scrub the tank a bit, rinse off the roots in correct pH water, and do a little flushing. Then I will add back only distilled water this time. I would guess the high pH (6.
is locking out the micro nutes making the spotting and discoloration spread further and further up my plant, and the higher than usual temps + adding Hygrozyme again was a mistake. Tomorrow my temps will be back to normal (company is leaving) 65-68F so the plants will like that I think.
I appreciate all the input so far, thanks to all of you for that! I have more pics if any of you would want to take another stab at it.
I am confused where I should start tomorrow with the nutes though if anyone has any input on that. Purpdaddy, I am using a drain to waste, sorry I didn't know what it was before. Where do you think I should go on the nute amounts? I use distilled water, but I don't have cal-mag so I may have to use more micro, no?
I am hoping that the dying leaves you see in the pics will clear up with the correct pH and nutes and other ideal conditions? Or should I just expect them to die off and make new leaves?
Anyway, sorry for lots of text. Thanks for taking a look.
Newer deficiencies showing up on the lower leaves of my healthiest plant, which was spotless before the res change.
The problems getting worse after the change.
Newer growth problems
I know it's a lot of text, but thank you for helping!
