Help opening up

I've got 2 seedlings that retained a (membrane?) after the seed shell came off, and they're not opening after 24+ hrs after popping. These 2 grew twice as high after popping, but didn't open. I took some tweezers last night and gingerly as I could peeled the membrane off, but they haven't opened up 16hrs later. The one in the back left looks a bit different as I nicked a small piece of the round leaf off when removing the membrane. I started 3 of this strain, and 2 of those 3 did this. What happened here, and is there anything more I can do to help them open?

I had domes on these cups, but removed them for 8 hrs yesterday hoping more light might help? I gave them a small drink last night and capped them again after removing the membrane hoping the moistness might do it. This morning I dropped 3 drops of water on each.... one drop at a time 5 mins apart trying to moisten it. The photo above was just taken.

Yup just keep moist . The plant will open . Maybe lights arent strong enough. Sow seeds a little deeper and the seed pods will come off better.

Get a small mister bottle from target. They have them in the travel section. Works better than putting drops on em. I don't come my seedlings. Just mist here and there depending on how they looking.
What kind of light are you using? Get those babies into a window sill or outside if it's nice out. My seedlings do just fine at 55-70° outside. I still bring them in at night. But the stronger light of the sun probably help them pop the rest of the husk off. Or get your light closer or the plants higher.

I have these under a 70 watt hps light. The domes on the cups were approx 4 " away. I've since moved them to about 6" away. I plant about 3/8- 1/2" deep. Should i go deeper?

Poke a hole in the soil with your index finger till entire fingertip is in the soil. Drop seed in. Probably 3/4 of an inch.

I'm not sure about the light. Never used a 70w hps, only 400 and up. If you put the back of your hand under the light, how hot is it? Whatever distance is warm on your hand but not uncomfortably warm should work. Right now my seedlings go under an LED light b4 and after the sun comes up and it's like two inches away from the plants.

I rounded up a spray bottle to mist them. I hit them up twice in 15 mins, reinstalled the domes on those two, and I now have the light 2 1/2- 3 " off the dome so 4 1/2" off the seedling. The light is pretty warm on my hand at 2-3" off, and at this height produces noticeably more condensation in the dome than when 2" lower. I don't see what is holding them shut at this point it's been 24hrs since removing that..

Well It appears I saved one of the two I was trying to help open. In the above pic, the plant up front on the right is a few days older than the two I'd posted about. It's a different strain, and it's yellowing bad. In the above pics You can see it a bit and the tips are brown. I had these pretty close to my little 70 watt light for a spell. Do you think that's the issue with this one, or does it look like something else? Hoping I didn't kill one trying to save the other. Plants are in pure peat. Here is yellowing planthulk 5-7 005.JPG today.

Yeah that one looks pretty fried, probably from having the light too close, or it getting wet with the light on. I don't think that one will make it, but maybe
