Help on mflb schematics

So I saw some people make their own version of mflb (magic flight launch box), and as I'm pretty good with woodworking and have basically all the tools needed, I decided to try just for kicks. I didn't get the copper wire part. Why does it have to loop? I thought it's connected to one side of the scren and the other wire is connected with the other side. What's with the loop?

Also, how high is the block of wood? Like if you put it top side up on a desk, how high?

Having been a LB owner for a few years now, I can tell you that every component has a function. The wire conducts the current through the screen. The electrical resistance is what heats the herbs.

Nice schematic, though. Maybe just build a bowl.

I know how conduction works, Just saw a few people talk about loop at the end of the screen, but seems they didn't know what tehy were talking about.
I'll be getting the mflb after a few weeks, but just want a project to work on in my spare time, you know, something to learn!
When I get some progress I'll start a new thread maybe. We'll see.
So anybody know the height of the lb?
