Help on achieving that "Couch Lock" feeling for my current grow

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thanks for taking a look at this Thread. A larger thanks to those who decide to reply with useful information.:-P

Currently I'm into the late stages of my 3rd grow. I live in a changeable climate without having issues others face like humidity, heat, water etc... This is my first grow using HPS (400 Watt) and at this point everything is going well, besides some heat damage but hey...you live and learn.

I'm trying to achieve a couch lock type of high. Now I know all of the signs to look for like Trichomes changing to an amber color and Calys's looking like they are going to explode, while paying attention to color change in their stigmas.

Here's the deal. I'm growing of course in hydro and I'm mid way through the 11th week in the flowering cycle. I'm growing Nirvana feminized Northern lights(black bucket) and Sweet seed's Afghan Delicious (silver bucket). The main stalks of my NL have been chopped and are curing. I'm not a fan of this next method, but I removed a lot of foliage trying to beef up the other buds and possibly in-turn they become (couch lock?) The NL I harvested is good but not couch lock.

Typically how long does your grow take to achieve that narcotic couch lock high? I understand different strains, and flowering times..When it states flowering time 8/9 weeks, that just doesn't seem right? I'm noticing Trichomes beginning to turn amber, but is it normal to take this long?

I'm including some pictures that should answer some other questions about the grow area etc... Please feel free to ask me anything. I'm hoping to read a lot of useful info for you guys and girls

Thanks,

the time that is in the advertisements are approx. and grown in the seed growers confitions, ideal. they will naturally take longer than the time said due to other growers are not as experienced as the person growing the seed you want to buy.
Go by the color of the trichs. if you want a more couch lock affect.

Thanks... J.O.C.that's what I thought. It just feels like a long time. I'm guessing about 14 weeks of total flowering time before I harvest the rest. Meaning about 2 more weeks. I wonder why I'm having a tough time achieving that "advertised approximation" time? Could it have been the heat exposure from the lamp? Possibly a higher than preferred humidity level during the blooming cycle (anywhere from 33% - 50% humidity)? "When the growing gets tough the tough get growing"

Thanks again..
