I have 3 plants in 3 gal containers in soil. The soil I originally made from a mix of Scotts preimum top soil (no nute) moo-nure (small amount .05-.05-.05),and peat moss, with pearlite to keep it loose.
I use Shultz 10-15-10 lightly (about every other feeding, though it says to use every time)(and I mix it at half the recommended strength).
If you look at the pics the leaves look dried up and deformed, this scared me and I bought a Hanna checker to check PH,it came with a 7.1 buffer solution, I calibrated according to information (it had the 7.1 pack but NOT the 4.01 to adjust both screws on top-but I did do the 7.1 adjustment).
I ran a gallon of water through each pot and used a clean large bowl to catch the runoff-the runoff was at 7.89.
Im going to check it again today,I dont think Im going to kill them doing it,but they will most certainly die if I dont do something.
Question-if the PH is that high-how can I bring it down -I know it will have to be slow, I have read that using vinager,or lemon juice will do it with plants-but dont want to be apart of thier demise.
PLEASE look carefully at the pics,Im only posting because I have not seen this in a pic on the internet anywhere-thanks in advance
