Help needed

1)
2) Growing indoor or outdoors: Indoors
3) Watering schedule: every so often
4) Growing Medium: Miracle Grow Moisture Control
5) What stage of growth: planted 5-17 repotted 5-26


The plant is buried up to the water leaves which are yellow as are the next set of leaves up which I believe would be the fan leaves? this is my first grow and its from bag seed. I have looked here and several other forums as to what to do and I'm seeing several problems with these symptoms so I figured I would just ask

1. Better lights

get some lights on it and don't overwater it.

I currently have a 42 watt CFL on it I plan on getting more just money is really tight right now

Water around sides of the pot and let roots go and find the water . That light is ok for now but you will have to upgrade later once plants put on sone growth and height you also want a fan .
When you come to repot i would get some better soil

I started it in a jiffy pot which I transplanted into the current 3 gallon pot and I'm worried that it isnt breaking down enough for the roots to expand I have been watering outside of it as well as putting a little bit of water into it in hopes that it will encourage it to go through the jiffy pot but if it doesn't there is a little water there for it. I have it sitting outside in the sunlight right now
