Hi peeps i have two bug problems:wall:, 1st being white to straw colour bugs on under side of leaves ( dont think there spider mite ), and 2nd white bugs in the bottom of my iws pots and tank,
i think the bugs in my tank are spring tails, but apart from that i have no idea... pics to follow, any one got any idea what either of these infestations are
and or how to cure the problem ?...

Im 5 week in to flower and the growth has really started to slow down, any advise would be sweet as im really struggling with a solution !

Cant really see the bugs but looks like thrip damage on the leaf. The ones down low look like spring tails but do they spring and jump around super fast? Had spring tails before and I dont think they are do anything negative besides being a nuisance. Neem oil works for thrips. Thrips are attracted to the color yellow so I'm sure your hps light is very alluring to them. I think gnatrol works too for thrips. You can put it in your hydro water as well as soil from what I understand.

Thanks bostoner, iv noticed the ones in my water jump about, im sure they are defo spring tails, you say they do no harm !, that will the first time iv heard of a bug infestation that doesn't harm plants !...

just googled the thrips and by the looks of it the white ones are what i have, is there anything i can do whilst in flower tho ???
also do they have wings and fly ?
i swear i see 1 or 2 fly away !

They have already done alot of damage and im sure its slowing ther progress a fair bit...

Not happy !

Adult thrips can fly. Put acouple no pest strips in the room over night. Put em by the inside fan. shut the vents and ventilation off over the dark period. Next day remove and fire lights and everything up. That should slow them enough to finish. They also say Mighty Wash can be used in flower but I haven't used it. Put the strips in a plastic ziplock to use later.

I would grab a pale of ladybugs at your hyderstore and toss em on the plants. I have a spidermite and fungas gnat problem and they worked wondrful

Thanks guys, can i just say me like most growers will try the easiest way to get rid of a problem before the harder more time consuming methods so i was thinking ( here gos ), to pick the plants up seal the pots with a black bin liner or what ever turn the plant upside down and dip the hole plant in just plain old water or a solution on water and "Mighty wash" , i have read that they are easily washed off due to them not having a very good grip on anything, one plant at a time and make sure they dry off very quickly to prevent bud rot ect, what do you guys think !
