thats fantastic mate cheers for getting back to me thats the one yeah, so no i can go ahead and purchase my 400w air cooled tube, know of any where decent mate?? in the uk to purchase this?

I'm not from the UK...but you can find some pretty good deals on eBay, just gotta do the research and you'll find one that'll work!

The best setup you could have in that tent is Filter=>=Cooltube=>=Fan...
I assume your exhaust port is in one of the top corners of the tent?
Hang your filter at the top of the tent, put ducting down to your cooltube and run the ducting from the cooltube straight to the fan. You can slot the fan into the exhaust port at an angle to make the ducting as straight as possible from the cooltube to it. Try make as few angles in the ducting as you can, its easy enough if you look at it when its all there.
Filters are designed to have air pulled through them, not pushed. If you try to run it the way that was recommended already you're not going to be able to exhaust and cool the light at once, the filter at the end would create positive pressure which would seriously restrict your fans running speed...think how much harder it is to blow into a balloon thats already got air in it.

Hey Guys, my fan and carbon air filter turned up today and ive put (awaiting cool tube) --> ducting --> fan --> ducting --> (outside of tent) --> carbon air filter, due to loosing far too much height if placed inside the tent, does that sound of to everyone??
also im after now a cool tube hps 400w, but is it totally necessary to have a cool tube or could it be just a normal hps light with basic wing reflector ??
please help need guys,

thanks mate them cool tube lighting madly expensive lol, got me fan and filter sorted just awaiting seeds next step light then soil nutes etc, was thinking about getting a normal 400w hps the adapting it using a glass tube attach to end with fitting then duct other end out think that will work well enough??

may sound really silly but instead of a glass tube could you use a plastic tube with a air cooled system then adapt it to hps normal system ??

Not a good idea, HPS lights get extremely hot, and plastic that close will more than likely melt. But a pyrex glass tube will work, not too sure on where to get one though...You can probably find one online somewhere for cheap.

Try mixing your own, get some potting soil, some perlite, peat moss, building sand, etc. You should do some research on different kinds of potting mixes...It's easy and much more cheaper than buying shit like FFOF.
