my outdoor grapefruit is starting to bud but i want to veg for longer so it can get bigger

lol it doesnt look like its starting to bud. The secondary branches are growing in. It's gonna fill in pretty quick. Keep your light schedule to 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0.

Purple stems and leaves look necro in spots, looks like you might have a phos. deficiency going on. Is it cold outside where your at?

no the plant was damaged and i rescued it im feeding it veg newts and yea its cold out side but its fine in my bedroom

youll prob get about a 2 grams off that now and thats if you buy a small cfl and keep it warm indoors. Outdoors i think you've lost! Unlucky man, my mate had a critical mass about that size he grew on his window seal, this was in july and he got about 3 grams
