I have my VPD dialled in. I think it is over watering as they are getting watered 24/7
they will wilt bro, its called damping off, usually when its high heat, and high moisture, roots without oxegen become weak and easy target to fungal problems, this is the most common at this stage usually pithum or Rhizoctonia. if i was ur place i would place the rockwool on papertowels let the roots breath while keeping the dome on, when you water rockwool at this stage just water for few drops multiple times a day.

Ok thanks I'll keep this in mind

Vpd of 3 (31c and 23% humidity). No issues. Charts don't tell all, day 29 and have been in. Vpd of 2-3 since birth.

Here's a few seedljngs at day 7 and 9 under 40k lux at a vpd of high 2s.. 29c and 30% humidity.

Vpd isn't a be and all when it comes to plant health..I prefer the plants body language over charts any day. At this vpd I just water more.

No domes, keep it simple, make sure they get light to counteract the stretch. They are the same plants above 20 days apart.

Thank you for the insight , I'll remove the dome see what happens
I'll use this thread to log my progress

Unneeded. Use for clones and not for seedlings. Increased risk of damping off.
Mine have all now gone to the pale green and not looking good. My dome is off but it seems to be getting worse. It initially all started once I took my dome off.
the photo does not show the real colour of these.
They do not look good

I would suggest trying a basic peat or Coco based potting mix in a 4-6" pot next and skip the specific seedling routine. Never had one, never had an issue with a seedling so far.

I start mine in 4x4 inch square starter pots or 2L round pots of potting mix/perlite depending on how i feel, water it once to runoff before I put the seed in, and then leave it for 5 or so days before watering again. If i start them in 2L pots, I can go a week without watering. I think they might be staying a bit wet.

I have found, if you create an artificial environment far different from what they will be growing in (for example, dome, high humidity and ow lighting) they will object when you up the lighting and dry out the environment.

For example, if I start a seedling at 7.5k lux and 80% humidity like they say, and then try and lower humidity to 50% and up the light to 45k lux, they nearly die. But if I start at 28c, 30% humidity and 45k lux, they have no problems at that temperature and humidity.

I find babying seedlings the worst thing you can do. Try sprout them in the conditions you will be growing in, and there won't be a transition period between environments that stunt the plant.

Thank you I'll be sure to follow this in my second grow as this first one took a quick U turn so I doubt it will recover

Plants will adapt to all sorts of conditions, the conditions are relative to the demand put on them, the more demand/light/ heat/ the closer the conditions need to be dialled in to get the plants optimum, its a very dynamic synergy where the plateux of decent growth is wide, its the peaks that are narrow tolerances.

its seems that the meter is hanged way above the plant leaf level. thats why your VPD is off in reading but in reality its good, try changing the meter place, you will find that your vpd is diled in.
also if you got the VPD diled in correctly your leaves will look much more healthy.
light to plants is mesured by PF not lux.

bro put the dome back, or they will will wilt more, as you can see with your eyes.

I've got four meters in there luckily and eight meters over three tents. that's an average of all of them. one tucked behind each pot at the back in the shade, one up near the filter and one near the fan at light level. There's also two outside each tent as well. The lung room is currently sitting at 28.6 and 43% humidity. On the bottom of the tent at pot level it was 33% humidity and 30.9 an hour ago. I'm recycling the tents air multiple times a minute so there's not much difference in top to bottom temps and humidity bar above the light.

To get ppfd I multiply lux by 0.017 as directed by Shane from migro and dr Bruce bugbee. There is a different equation for different spectrums, but if you have an average 3000k/5000k board 0.017 is accurate. it's within 5% of an apogee Ive rented numerous times. .I do know what I am talking about...45k lux reads 743umol/s on an apogee.

When it comes to health, the plants are fine.

if the vpd is right you will leaves double in size.
same plant after 5 days of groth while VPD is perfect.

now as you can see this is healthy plant, if i cange the VPD or lowered humidity my plants will look like yours.

Three days growth in terrible vpd. I don't see an issue with its growth. Whats so wrong with my leaves?

Not exactly small leaves either.

This one came off the third node a week ago. They ain't small hands either.
I don't see anything that special about your leaves tbh.

I can't keep perfect vpd. Im hiding three tents in uni accom with no ability to run AC or humidifiers sadly so I can only do so much. I'm think I'm doing just fine in that regards.

"Or my plant would look like yours". Bruh, can you explain to what's so fantastic about your plant, and what exactly is wrong with mine in comparison?
