Help! Mould!!

Hi

I moved into this flat recently and have been setting up to grow some Blue Widow. One of the things I read about it is that you have to take extra care during the last couple of weeks of flowering as the big whatsits are prone to mould.

I read last night that if you see mould on your plant you should burn it immediately. Sounded pretty extreme!

There's a few cupboards around the walls in this studio and I noticed one has a trickle of damp. But it's shut away from the main room by cupboard doors. My yukka plant is just outside this cupboard.

So last night after reading about mould I noticed the soil in my yukka plant! Covered in mould!!!!! :o:spew:
WhadoIdo?!!! I've had this plant for about 3 years in other places and this is definitely new. Does this mean I have to disinfect the house (how?) and repot my yukka and it'll be okay as long as I keep everything on the other side of the room (about 20 feet away from this cupboard in my wardrobe). Or does this mean that this house is inhabited by a omnipotent mould entity, virile enough to cover the soil in the yukka pot in mould in just one month? Does this mean my plans will be a total washout whatever I do?

Please please please advise!! I've ordered lots of stuff and was really looking forward to this.
