Help me pick a CSI Chem??

Hey guys, so I was talking to my wife who claims to be a big fan of Chemdog, and I don't really have anything Chem oriented. . .. so, I think I'm just gona go with CSI.

Can you guys help me narrow it down a bit? Like, very generally speaking, which one is the "stank bank" one, which one leans lemon/citrus/pine and which one is the "sweet" one?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think: D is the dank one + huge yield potential, 91 is the lemon/pine with probably the headiest high, and 4 is the one with sweet potential? . .. Sound even remotely close? Any insight you guys have on specifically CSI's Chem variants would be great, thank you

I'll second that vote for Big Bad Wolf. I ran a few in greenhouse last season they were very good smoke. I did not clone those 2. I have a few a popped late this season that will be small but I will clone them this time in case I find a real good one.

As far as your description that checks out with what knowledgeable people say about the Chems although I rarely hear of the 4 like the other two mentioned.

CSI Chem work is great, If I was looking into that I’d also check out Lucky Dog Seed Co for real chem stuff

Csi humboldt currently has a double pack called Big Bad Wolves which is the original (chem d × chem 91) and the 2.0 (chem 91 × chem d)
They also have some chem #1 crosses but I've never tried chem #1 so couldn't tell ya how funky or sweet it is. Based on what I've read about it, it's very high in terps (like 4% in testing) but grows really fluffy buds.

Your info seems about right from what I’ve read, iirc.
I haven’t personally dealt with him, but have read a ton of great stuff about CSI. If you sent him the question directly, he’d probably not only answer, but hook you up with a couple to choose from, based on the generosity I’ve seen with most of his customers...

Ive heard csi, notsodog and crew say the chem91 S1 are pretty narrow pheno wise and kick out mostly plants leaning heavily towards the mom. If you can run the whole pack to look through and really want a chem91 representation, I'd go with the S1s.

From my learnings...

The Chem91 is the original so if your a fan of Chem or want to know where it all comes from that's a good starting point.

Chem 1-4 were supposedly bag seeds from one batch of chem91. Only 1 and 4 are still around I beleive. 1 is the most sativa/narrow leafed and heavy myrcene/floral terps. 4 supposedly leaned the most og of the Chem children.

Chem D and Chem sis and others were bagseed from a different batch. I beleive only Chem D is still alive from that and has a big following. Supposedly very strong like the 91 but heavier narcotic and supposedly rotten meat type terps.

The 91 and the D are supposedly the more potent with the D being more couch lock type and the 91 being more well rounded.

Id go with the 91 S1s or a 91 cross. The 9 sounds like the most dominant in crosses so probably the best chance if finding the best Chem representation.

The 91 s1 will have little variation so that’s your best chance to see something close to the dog. The Chem D has a lot more variation in expressions so you never know what you might find.

If it has to be from csi the 91 s1s if its from other breeders too id look into lucky dog seeds chem crosses its all good stuff also a lesser known one but still good all the same and pretty cheap too vs some others verdant green has a good chem line C4DD as well thats chem4 cutxchemDiblxchemD clone if my memory serves me right its a good one with a bit of variation in phenos also top dawg has good chem stuff too

Chem4 is very og like in some ways but the 91 has that viney structure thing going on too but taste wise yeah the #4 is more close to og id agree the 91 is the most potent imo
