Hello! i have recently setup a 4x4 veg tent with Spectrum Kings Mother Little helper (meant strictly for veg)
and i am in the process of setting up my 4x4 flower tent but i need advice on what light is best for strictly flower!
I have narrowed it down to the:
black dog 400
https://indoorgrowingcanada.com/collections/led-grow-lights/products/black-dog-led-phytomax-2-400-led-grow-light
or
kind 750
https://indoorgrowingcanada.com/collections/led-grow-lights/products/kind-led-750w-k5-series-xl750-grow-light-1
but
HLG 550 Rspec is also looking like a contender

any advice is appreciated! im trying to get lowest possible electricity consumption while still growing high thc high grade chronic and i dont mind spending a few extra bucks now to save in longterm costs

HLG is thee ONLY light you listed worth two shits. Kind, and Blackdog are both POS lights that still use old slug based double chip diodes. The technology is over 20yrs old. Phytomax has at least stopped using those super old diodes and upped to a bit better of a spectrum but it's such a rip off for that price wow.
That RSpec though, is a beast and I can assure you you'll be a happy camper if you use it.

I second the Timber recommendation....using a 3000 spectrum.

One of these at 640 watts (from the wall) would be awesome in that space.

Or two of these. (I’m buying 3 of these to r replace a 1000 watt)

Hey good to know I'm glad I asked because I dont have much knowledge on led lights! So to narrow it down the HLG or 2x 340 watt or 1x 640 watt light... what would be the best choice for densest thc covered results! (Thanks to the help!)

In all of my LED research when I was buying, that brand never came up. I don’t know anything about them.

Mr.Growit a popular youtuber did a video on the best LED lights of 2019 and it was one of them, i like how they noted it was specifically targeted towards the flower stage . I dont understand the whole LED thing too much but something to do with the red lights and green or yellow, specific colors are good for flowering... and on a review video by the company they noted they put the proper colored lights for the flower stage... I'm going to order my flower light here soon just trying to get advice on something to be used just for 12/12 light that i wont have buyers remorse

I’m no expert here, but I think the 3,000 spectrum on the Timber is better for flowering than 4,000 on the other. More reds.

Dig around the LED forum....there’s a lot to read.

You gotta stop reading g what these companies are stating about themselves. hLG or timber. Choose one. Lol. hLG will give you a bit more hanging height.

ok thanks the HLG is 200$ more than the 640watt timber but i dont mind paying the extra buck can you tell me what one you would pull the trigger on? main reason i looked at the sundisk was because a reputable youtuber added it on his top led list but maybe he was bribed to do so.

I just pulled the trigger on three Timbers, so I’m biased. Pulls more watts at the wall. More power.....more flower.

When i talked to them they said these were the two options are you sure buying those 3 smaller lights was best choice??
"Hello - for flowering a 4'x4' area, you will need roughly 600 watts. We have two options - the first is a traditional light fixture, and the second is pendant style lighting :

Here are the par maps for a 4x4 tent mounted at 18 inches. I can’t help you much beyond that.
