Yes. You need a systemic control, growth inhibitor, etc; I use Azamax but there are others, too.
However, this stuff works really well, good for mold, too. check it out. General Hydroponics,
good luck.

the ones I get just suck on the stems and branches and don't cause much harm but I have found nothing that drives them away. I like to squish the little Fer's

If it's in the backyard there's a spray that attaches to the hose made by Bayer that when sprayed on everything in the backyard will wipe out all the bugs for a couple weeks. Can't remember the name of it but it's in a blue bottle.Just don't spray your cannabis plants. Stay away from systemics, they are absorbed into the plant tissue and you could wind up smoking the stuff. The metabolites of neonics and fipronil (the compounds which they break down into) are often as or more toxic than the active ingredients to non-target organisms.

I'm no longer a fan of using neonicatiods outdoors. True that with large agriculture dousing fields with imidacloprid and the like we as pot growers won't have much effect on colony collapse disorder, this doesn't mean we should become part of the problem.

I'd advise you to get them under control. The damage they cause, may look harmless, but these lil shits will reduce harvest significantly. I will look for a pic from last year where they took an entire branch off (sucked it off the stem) among other damage, before I got them under control. Check under leaves too, for eggs. The baby ones look like grains of salt. Really small and white. Like big trichs :fire: Shake your plant's stem and watch for hoppers hopping to other plants. You can keep up with worms by hand, but unless you are super hyper active, these lil fuckers will get the best of you :cuss: I use Don't Bug me, liberally, from week 4 on (I've seen no leaf damage and no hoppers, to date...knock on wood). I'll alternate when it's worm season, between it and Safer cat killer. One or the other every four days

Good luck :peace:
