I have 3, lighting up ,3 5x5 footprints. It’s not as efficient as COB’s or QB’s but I’d put spectrum up against any light for actual plant and flower growth. 67A34232-3D5A-4C8E-8052-278F1869CA6E.jpeg

I'm hoping that the 1750K presented in a LED format will provide comparable performance to a 600hps with an Eye Hortilux SHPS bulb. Understanding that led is more binary and does not have the subtilty an HPS. I'm hoping not to lose bud density, frost or terpene production. The photos won't lie and I won't try to convince myself otherwise. If it's not working I'll acknowledge it and try to find something else. That being said, I'm quite hopeful. Although, I wasn't that happy with the CLW Solar System lights with the customizable light spectrum. I feel these are a different animal and are going to need a couple of grows to figure out their idiosyncrasies.
I have run a few grows under v29s and cxbs any disappointments have been learning curve or grower error. day-50-pp-1.jpg

Loads of solid, frosty, fragrant, potent buds pretty much every time. Getting the mineral nutrition correct under high ppfd was challenging at first.

You feel that yield, plant health and flower quality is superior?

I'd be worried about stretching...
Yes, I've considered that and agree. However, I've found that good training of upper growth into a more horizontal orientation can actually benefit yield. Remember that I've grown with sub 2k HPS and have had good results. Also, these lights allow for fairly close proximity to the canopy. But I appreciate the input and will be mindful of it.

Yes, I'm familiar with these lights. However, I've always thought that these, CLW and Kind were too expensive. Adding another $1000 per light opens up a whole lot of options with newer more efficient/effective technologies. I'm glad that they work for you and I'm not knocking them. For what I was willing to spend I feel that I made a solid choice.

Good stuff! I'm sure I'll be bumbling through a few growing pains with this light,

So overpriced for what it is.

@race winslow Nice choice on the light, looking forward to seeing how it works out for you. Quite a few kickass grows on here under timber lights.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to getting started with it. I've seen some good work with these on this site and they are so simply well made. Open structure lets you see the components. Resale market is good on them too in the unlikely event that I don't like it.

I built my own and have never owned a timber, but cobs appealed to me for ease of repair/upgrade. I easily pulled 1.5 gpw under it.
The only thing to know is that hanging height should be higher than strips or boards. I kept mine at nearly 36" in early veg, to 24 later on. Helps with spread, and the plants like it. I was running closer to 45w per sq/ft though

You made the right choice. All 3 of those companies are overpriced outdated tech.

For the price of the BD you could get two HLG scorpions, two Timber Fatty VS or Cypress 8, a ChilLed X6 1000w, or practically 2 Gavita 1700e or 3 Meijiu 650w. All of which would perform much better.

I would really like to see this Growcraft side by side with the new Fluence light. Since they are the same price after the Growcraft sale is over.

I emailed fluence, but they were not trying to come up off a light for my testing lol
Fluence put up a light for testing! Lol! They only have the most copied spectrum on the mkt. Lol! Not in a million yrs. Bud.
Why? Its the same damn thing over n over n over again. What, do you expect different results :wall:. Every light mentioned is one of those "pay more or upgrade next year because we discovered this wavelength should have to be added to begin with fixtures". There are a lesss then a handful of companies whom offer a decent spectrum coupled with electrical efficiency these days. One thing I like about the light i recommend is that it has the farthest diode spacing in the industry which not only practically doubles longevity coupled with the Ginormous Extrusions that are detachable, pivotal & slidable. Diode spacing is also a main contributer to the most even spread possible, spectral blending (has a complicated & expensive spectrum compared to most) & most importantly light density at farther depths w/o the need for lenses. In a centered 3x3' the light hits about 750 ppfd @ 4' away. In 6.5'x5' area it has a 525ish ppfd or average @ 4'. Check n see what your average SE-HPS is. You'll laugh. The light covers 6.5'x5' , independently in flower. 7x6' With cross lighting.
The Growcraft in 1000w is useless to most. Poor design not being detachable. WTHeck are you gonna do with 1000 led watts over a 4x4 or 5x5? With that spectrum, nothing over 650 or now 730w (due to new spectrums that finally included UVA +IR.
Unless you wanna hang a Bar-Light as A High-Bay light then im not a fan of any 1000w fixed led fixture. Defeats the purpose as far as I'm concerned.
Roi-680 is a nice lil-simple light, but costs allot more then it used to it appears as i once thought it a deal but not at $1,200 for sure NOT. Both are simple design with the same old HE Spectrum. So far the only company above mentioned has made spectral efforts are GrowLightsAustrallia. But i personally am waiting for their Gen2 before I buy a set to compare.
One could take risks with Alibaba because they promise you the world for almost $1/w before shipping back n forth x4 times to get it right. Then you'll most likely have to deal with early failure rates n good luck having your warranty upheld. Fly by night BS..
Mi-Gro's Shane might be a nice guy but his light is for from innovative or even comparable to other updated options.
Fluence is Plastic Composite Overpriced. Who knows what drivers.
Other companies like Synce are innovating but nothing I need for my garden. Gavita is a flexible light with low integrity to the inexpensive build.
I ran one year of x3 different leds against each other as well as HPS & educated myself before going Amare.
Versatility & quality are priceless yet they're only $1.66/w before discounts.
Thats my choice n it would be really hard to change it after comparing almost everything.

a 4x4 needs nothing more than a 480W driver run balls to the wall, with any of the good samsung, bridgelux, nichia, osram or any quality, diodes of the last 3 year even with F-series strips which I still love as much as when they came out brand new, you can still hit over 380W per square meter...

I just bought this
HLG Scorpion Rspec × 1
NEMA 5-15P 120V
and this for less than one of the BD 1000's

Money well spent. Will probably yield 2x as much and just as good quality if not better.

Great looking plants :weed: Im a new grower using led's. Ive got some qb120's and 288's. Could you give me a little info about mineral nutrition under high ppfd, or point me towards some literature on the subject? I appreciate it.
