Those trichomes are clear and are not ready for harvest.
They need some amber color to them, the more amber color the more couch lock (ain't getting off the couch) you'll get, the less amber more of a head high (still feeling active).
It can be a personal preference.

And the bud itself should be quite dense.
It does look great!

ur fuckin blind if u dnt see all the trichs in that pic going amber, there ready, and im glad u didnt wait another 2 weeks, everytime i see a "is it ready" post, no matter how done the bud looks or doesnt look, the majority of ppl who post, are gonna say, it needs another week or two. i can make out roughly 20-30% amber trichs in ur pic, and any1 telling u to wait, doesnt know there shit but want to seem like they do. overall nice harvest and nice buds , good job

I think you picked a fine time to harvest. Next time you should consider leaving the plant whole for a few days at least before you break up into smaller sections and ultimately move to jars.Overall though.. Looks tasty :). Good job!

What strain is that? Kinda looks like a northern lights cross.

I've been wondering about the trimming whole and hanging versus cutting off branches. What's your reasoning behind leaving the plant whole MonkE?

I would have waited at least one more week maybe 2 as the trichs were very clear so your thc content was bit lite and it will be a more up buzz or heady. I like a good couch lock body buzz so I go when the trichs are all cloudy amber. If you do it when milky white its a mixed buzz of head and body.

@ctpress....Leaving on the entire plant helps to dry slower so you dont crisp to fast. You want to slowly evaporate moisture from the buds but not crisp them then they go into jars and get burped every day till completely dry then cure in jars as long as you can wait. On branches is done alot due to space or impatience and want to dry faster which is ok but you have to watch carefully if you over dry or dry to fast your run the taste smell and thc strength.

Resin is also pulled from the stems and trunk to help maintain moisture in the outer cells. Results in an amazing boost to scent and makes the buds extra sticky.

we would have cut that baby last week already. its done. the thing is it will keep going for a day or so after you cut it. too much amber and you lose some of the thc buzz and get more cbn's etc meaning you're sitting on the couch versus being active. we prefer the thc buzz and being able to function...to a degree anyway.

Well I hope you enjoy it :)
Send me a PM if you have any questions during curing... It's quickly becoming my main focus and it's my intent to make it "my thing", so I'm happy to help.
