You need to pump the heat out of your system. An exhaust fan near the top of your box will solve your problem. Heat rises so the higher that you can cut in the hole for the fan the better. In addition to the exhaust fan, a small computer fan can help draw the heat off your bulb. Be sure that there is enough airflow for the exhaust fan. One thing that you can do it cut in some air holes near the bottom of your chamber, this should get some circulation in your system as you exhaust the air from the top. So, blow the air out of the box from the top.

With two small computer fans, I can keep a 250 watt chamber a few degrees above the ambient temperature.

u can get a 5000 btu air conditioner for around 100 bucks, I'm thinking of trying that, 100 bucks at sears or get one on craigslist for cheaper

Get an intake fan, pulling cool air into your grow room.

Get another for the out take, and a moving fan to blow the cool air about.

Any fans will do really, as long as the shift the air. :)

Yea i have an exhaust at the top..im using a 250 watt hps right now as well.
The one thing that I didn't mention was that I took the ballast out of my 250 and remounted it in a large metal junction box so only the light is in the grow chamber. It makes a huge difference to have the ballast outside the grow chamber. I'm a trained electrician so I have the skill set to do this safely; if you don't know how to do this then do not attemp it. The ballast has its own fan.

while i hunbly bow to any electrician i don't think converting to a remote ballast is the kind of thing you need alot of training for. It's not really hard you just wanna make sure you got it right. Check the faq for specific instructions.

I did what he said with my ballast and I was stoned offa smoking a whole jar of Sage (bud named sage not real sage), first weed that tastes like sage that some hippie didnt put sage in. Not the bombest but a very very up head high. Im not an electrician, thats alright and easy, JUST REMEMBER TO UNPLUG IT. I've always been told and heard have a 2 to 1 exhaust to intake ratio, I live in the land of Triple digits (100 and up all the time other than fall and winter) so having a room stay 70-80 consitantly is awesome the 2 to 1 ratio always keeps my room as cool as possible.

thats the downfall of growing outside..The lack of enviromental control...I really dont dont think theres a permanant solution as long as the plants outside.. If i was in your shoes i'll experiment..cooling the ground around it...The problem is at 105 degrees the place drinks up water so keep the ground wet....as long as the sun dont dry it out and you have a constant supply of water..the should help it survive

and duh..so u moving it inside...the plant will be stressed from enviromental change...be careful to take as much root mass as possible...
