help for pot sizes

hi for everyone

i have homebox XL 120cm X 120 cm (4' X 4' ) grow tent for flowering room with 600w hps.
i grow in soil with organic nutes.

i will grow 12 or 15 girls at the same time.

i keep the girls at vegging phase for 30 days

i am thinking about beginning in solo cups (or 1 litre pots ? ) and after 15 days of vegging,i will transplant girls into pots ( 4 or 8 litre ? ).
and when i begin flowering stage,i will use pots (15 or 20 litre or bigger ? )

how big pots should i use ?

i will transplant 2 times and i will use 3 different sizes pots

i need your advices about pot sizes.

(begiining and first 15 days in cups ,untill the end of vegging stage and duirng all flowering stage )

I use 16 oz cups for the first two weeks . Then switch over to 1/2 gallon to veg in for the next 3 weeks then I transplant into 2 gallon and after 1 week she goes into flower at about 18 - 24". Sorry not sure what that equals in litres. Good luck

The rule of thumb is you need 1 gallon of space for every 12 inches of plant. As far as conversion to liters, there is 3.78 liters per gallon. I hope this helps you out.

Thanks for clarifying what litrers to gallon is. But I have to disagree with 1 gallon of space for every 12 inches, Maybe for a plant you plan on keeping around a while and are growing it out bushy. But a plant your only gonna flower for 8-9 weeks avg I think 4-5 gallon pot is over kill as this would be what I needed according to your rule of thumb....but with every grow ...they are not created equal..

right now I have bubba kush growing in 3 gallon pots. The plants were vegged for about 4 weeks and were 18" tall when I moved them into flowering. considering that they are going to be like 4 feet tall when done flowering, my pots have seemed to be working fine for me. I think the rule of thumb is a little excessive myself but if you followed it now matter what you are growing then you should always have plenty of room. But like you said every grow is different.

Looks good but how old is that plant may I ask? and do you have a grow journel how you have grown this way i'd like to check it out. To me it looks like more then one plant in that container..If not then do you use LST to get them to branch out and grow equal like that?

just one plant. i'm in the process of making a journel. i veg for 60 days and thats 22 days in flower.

Yeah every gardener has thier own way of doing things so really it is up to you. Experimenting is the key with this hobby. It's also fun LOL!

im height restricted @ 3ft with a hps 150w


i use peat pellet to 16 oz to a 6" round pot. its small. i veg to 8-10 inches then flower to get in the low 20''s. if i had more space i would defiantly use a larger pot. mine push the limits of size but yet i get around 1-o per plant. good for my little perpetual stealth SOG

man i sure hope so. waking up to this in your house smelling the way she does its to the point where i can't stand it. LOL
PATIENTS MY ASS IM GONNA KILLSOMTHING. :weed: wellin about 5 weeks. hopeing for a pound ( or wishing )
