HELP: Flower Experts

I am just getting nervous about my gurls not producing large fruit and want to know if I seem to be on track.

I've just finished 28 days of flowering and the flowers are not too impressive at all.

PH is 5.3- 5.8, nute temp is 69-71 degrees, and ppm are at 1400. I fed GH 3-2-1 (3 part bloom, 2 part micro, 1 part grow) and added 1 part Kool Bloom.
(First 2 weeks of flower i I used a 1-1-1-1 ratio, then switched to 3-2-1-1 since, which has been 2 weeks)
I am running 250MH and 250HPS simultaneously.
Humidity has been between 30 and 55.
I hope I'm just being a little bitch and this is normal, but I want to be sure.

Any (EDUCATED)help or advice would be helpful.

you're only halfway there if that far. the plants will gain the most weight in the last two weeks before harvest.

Next question: Can someone direct me to find info on light distances during flowering?

I want to know what people say is optimum distance. I am using a 250MH and a 250 HPS simultaneously and am concerned that my lights my be too close to nuggs... They are between 6" and 10" away from tops.

The plumber story remeinds me of when I got a DUI. The cop pulls me over and says, "What's going on man, you were all over the road?". Me being an idiot says, "What? I thought I was driving fine". I learned to "wait and see", they will reveal their purpose (that goes for everyone in life, unless they are thinking the same as you). Self incrimination is a shitty feeling...

you can lower the light as low as your hand stays warm not hot,when you hold your hand by the top of the plant,i use a 250 and its 10 inches from top of the plants to the bulb,you dont want to go to low or youll burn the top and then youll be sad

i am just about 28 days into flower aswell and i have a similare structure, you should see some dramatic changes on a week to week basis from here out

I agree with Buggs, and I would err on the side of more distance, it all looks so good, I'd hate to harm them now.

That purple kush, the low growing stuff on the left side is looking phenomenal, covered with white... Looks like the WhiteWidow photos I've seen. If had known what I was doing, I could've gotten much better results with better branch routing under screen.

Oh yeah, I added another 4" airstone to rez, right under purple-gurl's roots, I want fatty, fat nuggs!

If I cannot flush my plant growing in my hydro setup, can I cut buds/branches and submerge the stem in water for a few days/final week?

I ask because I have 2 different strains in my grow box and they flower for different lengths, 1 is 8 weeks and 1 is 10 weeks approximately.

You are basically asking about doing a partial water cure. When you place the entire bud under water. Just the stem in water won't suck it into the bud (the part we smoke). I've got some profile pics, so let me tell you, you'll lose some taste if you water cure for even a day. And, as you've suggested, it will start to flush out anything non-THC unless you go a full week of water curing. Once you dry it, the smoke is kinda tasteless, so it's great for a stealth hit in a public area

try using just ur HPS lights and not the MH. MH is mostly for veg, i would try useing ur HPS the whole time.

Purpz, you think I should use only ht HPS while I flush? Why is that? I'm a noob and don't understand how that will help me. The plant is in it's flowering cycle, so veging is minimum I think. How would using only HPS help me?

I realize that MH is mostly for vegging, wouldn't double the lumens always be better as long as there is no heat issue?

I just read about water curing and you confirmed exactly what I read. Will there be so little smell that I can smoke it in public with the tar smokers? If so, I will have to try that. I wasn't planning on submerging the entire buds, I was thinking they would continue to suck of water through stem. Damn.

How long is too long to flush? I hear 2 weeks is ideal. How long do all of you flush?

it would be good to run both at the same time, that way ur getting a full spectrum... but if it comes down to one or the other, def choose HPS.

your not wrong therefore i cannot correct you. Hps will give u dense nugs with good thc content while a mh will give u a lot less yield with slightly more resinous bud. i have a switchable and once its flowering time my mh stays in the closet until next grow

Onlypurpz, I am totally lost as to why I should run only HPS according to your first post and then run both according to your second post. Onlypurpz, can you please explain what you are saying? and how that will help me flush my plants if I am mistaken. Please share.

Onlypurpz, I aslo believe you are mistaken about the lighting. I must first say this, I am a noob and am learning just like you, but I have come to the conclusion that using both MH and HPS will give better results than than using just one. maybe the buds aren't bigger or the THC higher in concentration, but I'm sure the combo aids for flowering and any vegging that needs to heal broken or cut limbs. I conclude that both will ALWAYS be better as long as the heat nor intensity are not an issue and I would like to be proven wrong. I'm not a geniuss but it seems common sense IMO (especially sence the newest bulbs/technology are combining spectrums).<-----PERIOD.
