Could anyone give me some information on determining the gender of my plant. This is my first time growing and I'm not so sure how to tell.

This is hard to describe in words. Google pics of a male and female plant to learn the difference and for what to look for on the plant. Basically a male plant will start to develop "little balls". Girl plants will start to grow "hairs"

There is tons of good information here, and many who will help you along the way. At the same time, dont be lazy, research the threads yourself and do a lot of reading. You'll be a better grower for it if your serious about learning how its done right.
