Hello

First time grower here and I am currently growing a feminized Lemon Kush seed in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and watering with strictly distilled water. I'm having trouble diagnosing the problem thats been going on with my plant for a while. I recently transplanted this plant from a 1 gallon pot to a 5 gallon and my lower leafs are starting to turn yellow and limp and its starting at the lower part of the plant and its working its way upward. Ive had this happen before when i transplanted into the 1 gallon. I have a hard time believing that its nute burn from the new soil because it seems like the problem gets better when I add nutrients at 1/4 strength. Im using CFL's as a light source and the plant is surrounded by the lights. 4 26 W CFls on the top canopy with 2 13 W CFLs 1 26 W and a LED as side lights. Im using 2 stationary fans as a source of air movement and ive read that if the fans are constantly blowing at the same part of the plant, it can dry out parts of the plant more than others causing leafs to feel brittle dry and weak at certain points throughout the plant. Here are pictures that ive taken of the problem. The new top growth looks great but for some reason I have some leafs with purple stems and I dont know the reason for that either. I sincerely hope someone can help me out with this problem because I was planning on switching her over to 12/12 in a day or two at most.

Looks like Maganese deficiency ( NOT Magnesium ). FFOF has enough basic nutes for initial growth for up to week 3.

I would clip those bad ones ( so plant doesn't spend time on repair ) and partial
" knuckle " cut the most affected. Otherwise upper growth looks good.

As far a purple stems , they can happen either from genetics or a deficiency ( do leaves feel brittle ? ) . You can do a flush to " start " fresh and better control the nutes you give.

thanks for the reply budz just another quick question if you dont mind? What does knuckle cut mean? Like cut the effect tips of the leafs off and completely remove the yellow dieing ones?
