first, hes not at the house anymore in this case, so the fed ex lady only knows his phone. they themselves are not allowed to look up his address, the phone company however has it on file, so authorities have to go thru fed ex to the phone company. and your not staying at the hilton. in order to even pay cash without providing an id, your staying at 150-200 week hotels. proces drop with cash a week long stays. crackheads do this, so yea shitty hotel, but not prison. prints have every single person who touched it and on cardboard box? good luck with that. further, if hes not in the system yet, they dont know who that print belongs to. hell you can take off your own prints. im not trying to argue here, just some ideas cause i have had to run myself in the past. basically it boils down to cool off periods. after x amount of time, they stop looking. and even if feds are heading the case, local authorities are always involved just for firepower. they will be the ones knocking at your door at first. the fed have no idea if your a gang member or a high school kid. there not getting shot. the very first thing you would notice is a cruiser outside watching the house to determine what type of activity is going on. heres the thing. my house-not in my name, my phone-not in my name, my real credit-fucked beyond belief. personally, id move to another state, get a place or hotel not in my name and work under the table. and i just looked it up, that small amount of pot, trafficked thru the mailing system, show an adverage of 1 year in prison, 5yrs probation and about 10k in fines. but i honestly believe that a lawyer can get you out of this. call em, alot of them are free to ask.

I doubt a lawyer can help when weed was sent thru mail across state lines..That is federal the most he can do is probably make the fines less.:dunce:

well i guess he got busted already, they kicked down his door as he was on this site still speculating on what to do with a growroom and stored weed in the next room lmao a knock on the door by municipality building inspectors at a strange time was all that took for me to ditch my whole grow the same day! i denied them entry, and stripped EVERYTHING illegal out of my place within hours just in case they called cops on me with a warrant. i think it was the smell in my case with the nosy fucking neighbors complaining.

well theres lawyers that specifically handle cases like these. i had a case where i paid my lawyer up front and a week later he told me to just forget anything happened. the charges were on file, but the case said closed and i was never convicted. where i am now, ive been to court 4 times since feb 08' and everytime they drop everything if you just pay all at once up front. most authorities are just there for money. if you ask "would you take a bribe if it was legal?" theyd say yes. its about going through the ropes to make look like they did there job while giving money to the man. one f my close friends keeps going by bus to cali and coming back with duffelbags full. i ask him how come he doesnt get in trouble for it and all he says to me is "the government is paying me to."

expect the worst. as far as a "waiting time" for the charges to be invalid? no. you crossed the federal line. they could come for you today, tomorrow, or next year. just depends on when the paperwork gets thru and the person looking at it. once its filed as a crime its all up to chance. human error and choice. remember all they are looking at is a box of weed. they dont know the half of it. but yeah. i would move, get a new phone number, and stop calling or mailing your friend. disassociation is the best thing. other than getting a new life thats all you can do. move and hope for the best.

edit: does it matter whether its feds or local? ..... still going to nomofuntimeplace

His last activity on the site was Feb 7th, so if he did get the knock it was 2 days ago.

If he went to a lawyer before being approached by authorities, wouldn't that admit guilt to an extent. Now if he claimed someone did it to try and get him busted because let's say he is a repo man and one person got real pissed he took back there car.

cant admit guilt due to client confidentiality, plus that wouldnt help the lawyer make any money. he prob dipped, jailed, or just stopped using this site.

that sucks all i can tell you to do is erase all your history and cookies on your internet just in case the cops get it and look over your comp and then just deny everything just tell them one of your cousins or your friends have been using your mailing address because they are homeless or something

A lawyer can make it ineffective to prosecute. Drag out dates and meetings, counter sue for damages. Sue the department for lost wages due to time wasted on the case, the inevitable lawyer fees, damages to your reputation and family.

If you have enough up front money to outlast the prosecutors, you can get away with reduced sentencing, potentially community service hours.

Which is why even legal growers should have some legal expense money saved away.

I always keep a good lawyer around, you'll never know what you need one for.

My attorney told me outright that the more money you're willing to pay the less(punishment) you're going to get.

Have seen someone on fed conspiracy charges do five years after spending 15 large on a case. then again he was caught with an insanse amount of OC'S. Better to spend the money than to go in there like an idiot and get 20 years tho
