For food, get yourself a ppm metre and check the feed going in vs run off water, assuming thats coco? Dont let the ph get so high as 6.5 but also keep your water very consistent ph always the same, temps a bit on the low side, you can run 24hr everyones got their own opinions on everything including all what I've said, leaf damage could be ironically deficiency of some variety but could be ph fluctuations also. Feedings far more complex than just she cant handle it

Thanks for your helpful reply. The medium I'm using is canna professional, a peat blend and perlite. I don't have an ec meter but I understand I really need one. I do fluctuate pH quite a bit to try combat lockout on either end of the scale. Im just stumped. Like I say it's happy as but yeh I'm doing something and this particular plant is taking kindly to it. The others are fine...

Ok not familiar with growing in that so i wont try advise but the ec will stop you wondering what foods too much or too little, people can say a plethora of things but numbers dont lie.

Honestly fluctuating ph out of fear is probably going to cause more problems than you're trying to prevent, i personally aim for 5.8 (in coco) and keep it locked there the entire time never an issue, try find a leaf deficiency guide i know there will be one on here somewhere, if not it may be one of those ones where you let it continue until its easier to tell.

Also why are there little bits of leaf missing? Thats slightly curious

What are you doing for Mg?
What kind of ranges are you using in terms of your pH? You should pretty much shoot for 6.5, if you're in soil, and manage it within a couple points +/-.
This is where I'd start.

pH range is 6-6.5. I haven't tested runoff because it's so hard to get a runoff. I don't want to drown it. I'm not using anything for Mg but am leaning towards that being the culprit due to fluctuating pH but I really don't know.
