help cooling a greenhouse

Just finally got my greenhouse up and now am trying to control the temperatures. It's 64x24ft and is getting up to 130+ some days, when its only in the 90s here. I have two exhaust fans and then 6 big fans inside. Anyone have any experience or advice? I got it down to 115 today rolling up the sides but the wind is pretty harsh for all of my babies right now until their bigger.

that is one nice greenhouse and it looks like you get sun ALL DAY. (I like that mountain way off in the backround)..sadly I have no advice, I would think more fan power but that's just a guess.

I like the shadecloth idea, even if you just do part of it. let some of that hot air escape up.

Why not take the plastic off, replace with shade cloth (for wind)
I thought you put shade cloth over the plastic? And I'm by myself so would be a task. But worth looking into because I gotta get the temps down

And thanks bud, it's been a project and a half but Damn proud of it at this point. Had the original fall apart on me and had to re do most of it so getting a late start. Once I get these temps down I can mix soil and its go time :) and yes there is never an hr of shade on it but finding that isn't always the best thing lol

if your area is hot and dry enough you can put a rudimentary swamp cooler on one end with an industrial fan for moving that cool air down the greenhouse. that's what they do down in pueblo co.

there's even a video showing the set up with some douche from high times.

what you should do is at the ends of the greenhouse where you have your walls, you should chop the tops off and just go with 2x4 framing. Cover it with basic insect screens to keep unnecessary and unwanted bugs out. then take a couple of fans and hang them from the tops of your pvc pipes (arches), one every 10-15 feet all pointing in the same direction. heat in the green house will rise and sit at the top and just stay trapped inside if you don't have the proper ventilation. the method I'm describing will move the air out thru the tops causing it to never sit and settle. also have some fans down the sides to pull fresh air in.

Since your getting such a late start, is there any chance you could hang some lights in there & keep them on 18/6 until they get big enough to give you a better return?....You'll harvest much more if you can.
What type of lights? I have a breaker set up out there so that would definitely be possible. Ordering two industrial exhaust fans tomorrow. 10k cfm each so that should definitely help. Trying to keep the sides down if possible. Just had a wind storm come through that almost ripped it out of the ground with the sides rolled up lol and thanks for the compliment, a lot of hard work has gone into it.

Appreciate it, that's actually by me some what. I have a smaller evaporative cooler right now but it's looking like I'm gonna need to spend the money on a nicer one

Sweet setup once you work out the bugs, green ( likemoney ) with envy although that is way more space than I'll ever need when the time comes. Really nice.

You don't need too much on the lighting, your just using it to keep them awake for 18hrs so they won't flower. I'd build a wind brake next too it, and get those sides open. a swamp cooler is only gonna add moisture & humidity, they are not your friends in a greenhouse. Good luck bro..

Well sounds like I have some figuring out to do as far as the wind goes. But I have four double fluorescent lights hung already down the middle. Would those work?

Yes they should. Can you group you plants together under the lights? ...

Ya definitely their all still really small. Just fresh cut clones and some that are 3-6 weeks old. How long should I keep them on 18/6?

Till they get big enough to give you a good return. It won't take too long. They probably won't want to flower right now anyway, but 18/6 will insure they stay in veg & get big.
