tired of long cocking we all can grow to the best that we can true facts some day i will own MCCOBI JUST PERSONALLY THINK best time to jump in them are in next 2 years just to much advances going on now as there hitting there peak but like everything else we need to watch the graphs or what ever advancements as to where the graph start pointing downward no different how i invest or sell buy low sell high in this case its kinda opposite wait on reults showing peak levels ??
How else can i say this technology slows down then its ran its course and tweeking it you get bit more does that make sense

about 25% at best....
Suddenly not so attractive. HID is 20% or so, only marginally better, if at all. I looked up some company that had 47% efficient bulbs that fit a regular e-29 ? socket, but they were $59 for a 13w bulb.

Also consider that if your amortization time with a 50% efficient flowering lamp is 5 years, the amortization time of the same lamp in veg would only be 2.5 years assuming you run 24/0 light cycle. Imo, when you get toward the point of 2.5 years amortization time, the question of financial value starts leaning heavily in favor of the 50% lamps. Sure, if there was going to be another lamp released tomorrow that was 60% efficient, I could see why you may feel like you've lost out on opportunity cost, but this is a gamblers mentality. You're speculating instead of producing. I want "a lamp that can produce", now.

A lot of people want to replace their flowering lamp with leds, but then do something silly like upgrade their MH to T5 for veg. A way better choice financially would be to keep HPS for flowering, and keep MH for veg, and smash up all their T5s. If you're going to replace MH in veg, replace it with LEDs. The upgrades people have been making to T5 have frequently been downgrades.
I find T5s to produce as much heat as an equivalent HID. Their efficiency is no greater than HID. Their form factor is better for small plants, tho.

I had so much trouble doing that (High temps with high RH). Maybe my temps weren't high enough, i was just so scared to run at 85 degrees. Co2 was such a learning curve for me. Many sleepless nights. At one point i had my phone alarm set for every 3 hours to go check the room.
Mongo you know me from long time ago i have ran temps near freezing near end of flowering talking 2 degrees cold, and from my experience running temps hotter 85 - 88 degrees it just took my

Mongo you have known me from long time ago, i have ran temps near freezing near end of flowering talking 2 degrees cold,
I follow more or less what mother nature does and thats make it rain in my room litterally and from my experience running temps hotter 85 - 88 degrees increased my photosynthesis. or optimal plant growth
You ever walk into a botanic Garden / green house ??? you walk in and almost stop dead lose your breath from the heat n humidity ....
and the plants in there are fucking phenomenal and why ?? higher temps and VPD
i used to follow the norm 76 degrees and it grew but once i said fuck this going to run it like family green houses and fuck me talking 4 - 6" growth daily you can literally watch it grow in front of your eyes ..
there is allot more at work then just spectrum root zone temps everything its amazing but growing with LED ot HPS you get all the more important shit taken care of then no matter what you use for lighting ..
Its going to produce i even run foggers in room da hell with foiler spraying plants like i said
make it rain lol .. here i figure i share, just love this pic with seedlings :)IMG1030.jpg

Right now I'm running 80 degrees 900 ppm of co2. For me and the fire og its my sweet spot. I can't re think co2 again, it'll hurt my little pee brain. Fuck that was a nightmare......

It is the Q10 effect. For every 10c you rise in temp...the metabolic rate doubles. That is why co2 enriched does so well at high temps...the plants are metabolized faster and matching the increased co2 available. As well as keeping the rest of the variable up to the metabolism.
I'm still working on CO2 myself too. I do like 85+. Darth is right...the shit just grows big and fast.

When I go over 80f canopy temp I notice the flavors and frosting change in my favorite cuttings (for the worse). The SSSDH takes an extra week or two to finish with those conditions and even then not a clean finish (some mature trichs but some immature calyxs and pistils) and the buds are looser.

According the the PPFD/temp chart rate of photosynthesis increase by 20-25% by boosting your temps from 77f to 86f. But does that translate to 25% more medicine? I suspect not, especially when you factor in the slower finishing time. My 2 cents anyway..
