Help can you redo butter?

Since this will be only second time going to start small like 1 stick how much water. How much herb for one stick of butter? Also how much time since one stick at time not a full 24 was thinking 2_3 on low 1 1/5 quart crock pot.
one stick in a full size crock pot is not a great idea imo

If we want a pound of finished budder, we'll use a pound of butter plus another stick for evap purposes. I really wouldn't even bother with making that much since a half pound is only three bucks at the dollar store ;) As far as plant material goes, I use an ounce of popcorn buds/sugar trim (not fan leaves) for a true half pound of butter which comes to a quarter oz per stick.

I'd suggest no less than 3 sticks if you want a true end result of one stick but even then, one stick of budder will be too small to do in a regular size crockpot, which is why is recommended you never make less than a half pound of butter when using the water method.

As far as time cooked goes, the amount doesn't matter, the time does. Not like using cake mix to make cupcakes ;)

I did about 1.5 ounce of good sugar trim and about 1/8 of mid grade bud. To 1 1/2 sticks of butter.
holy shit! i bet a cookie DID knock you the fuck down...

we use about 1/2 ounce popcorn bud and about an ounce of surgar leaf trim to a pound of butter (1 1/4lb to start, as some gets lost in the process) finished. i like it, every recipe comes out that a single suggested serving sized snack is a full dose.

Yes , learn from my mistake. I can laugh about it now but i sure wasnt then. Hallucinating without expecting/planing for it is not fun imo. Nam vet father inlaw loved it though, go figure.

I was gonna say, dammit man, I thought I was a total stoner! Our last cookies made me hallucinate, I can only imagine how that much would affect me. Shew!

i can vouch for a slightly different method.

40g bud

decarb @ 220-240F doesnt matter. 30 minutes -50 minutes depending on how scrupulous

i boil two sticks of butter in a large pot for two or three hours and add water as needed.

a stick of butter loses alot of weight to the water once boiled. so i use 2 sticks of organic horizon brand butter and expect just over one stick back. i rinses the bud with boiling water and combine materials into a container with a low-ish surface area so the cooled liquids have less or that brittle floating butter to sift out.

a second boil in another 2 sticks of butter can be done and combine with the first batch to end up with just over a cup of butter. rinse and squeeze this as well.

this is good for candy making. weigh your final product and divide into 80 pieces for a solid high. can be sold into 160 pieces safely

My crock pot 1.5 q low 200 degrees will that do for 6-8 hrs?
yea that's plenty long. you are really just trying to melt the thc into the oil. and since the oil is a solvent to thc it will begin to disolve even at room temperature.

the more time, heat and the more agitation in the mixture the better.

no worries

That would work, sure. Keep in mind the longer, the stronger. Even if you made them as strong as mine, it's all in the dosing. A light user could get away with eating a half or slightly less of one cookie for a beginner dose. Are you using dank bud or mids? It really makes a difference in quality/strength, so if you are using dank that would be good but for mids I'd definitely go longer.

I am going with regular size crock 14 grams of homegrown who knows strength gets the job done when smoked, 2 1/2 sticks butter, 1 cup water boiling into crock after bud cooled from decarb went in 10:30 this morning just stired looking good. Is the 6 hrs good on the amount of stuff I am working with. Thanks for input. Feel so much better with this batch. Fingers crossed.:weed:
