HELP!!! Bud's not very crystally and no smell. Week 5

Hi, I'm 31 days into flowering cotton candy kush which is supposed to be an 8-week strain, and my buds haven't gotten very crystally and have no smell to them whatsoever :-(.

My recipe at the moment is: per gallon- 15 mils Botanicare balloon Pro soil. 5 Mils liquid Karma. 7 Mils Bud Candy and 2.5 mils snow storm Ultra..... with all of that brings my PPM 2 about 800 and my pH is at 6.2.

The temperature in my room was almost 90 degrees for the first 3 weeks and then I was able to change some stuff around and get it down to 82 degrees. I'm also running CO2 at about 1300 PPM.....

Can't figure out what's going on any idea? Any advice would be great it's far from a small crop would love to save it if possible.

Not allowing me to upload any pics at the moment, but I will as soon as possible.

Yea you still got time to go. I have an auto going right now of a different strain an started to wonder where my frostyness was.......few days later i woke up to way more frosty then i was expecting......some time she just needs time. Your ladies look beautiful and tasty.

Healthy plants generally don't put off a lot of smell...until you start chopping them. Be patient, they'll either produce or not. Genetic roulette if not clones.

Yeah but I only have a little over 3 weeks left, you really think my crystal production and smell will increase that much in the last 3 weeks?

I`d add some more K I go 1000 to 2000ppm by half way into flower

when I feed more I get more somewhere around 1800 to 3000ppm is where I find most strains will start to show nute burn during flowering

more potassium more sulphur = bigger buds, more smell, more orange hairs and such later into flower

Absolutely, as for the smell, like bugeye said some dont put off a smell till u chop her. My first grow to harvest was in a homemade box in my kitchen no carbon filter an the only smell i got from the twins was when lights went off an then it was just a normal plant smell that u would get from ne plant. But when i chopped that was a whole different story. Danked the whole house up quick lol

Well I'm sure I'm going to get some smell on them before Harvest, not as worried about that as I am them crystallizing like they should.

I guess I'll increase the bloom dosage and see what happens.

Id be careful on uping ur dosage. From ur pics ur ladies look like they are getting the right amount uping might burn them. Or cause a lockout. Id just stick to the age old sayin K.I.S.S. , sometimes we over diagnose when all she needed was some time

So you think add more bloom? Bring the PPM's to 1000+?

Understandable. Maybe just bring it from 800ppm to 950-1000ppm.

Yeah man are you in soil or coco ?

Coco I can push to 2000ppm easy by week 3 of flower

I`ll go to 2400ppm as my water comes in around 400ppm after I`ve treated it

but some strains can take 3000ppm max some burn around 2000/2500`ish

when I used to run dwc I could push most strains to almost 3000ppm and there`s no way they get more food or grow more roots in coco its just drier and easier to work with when you can`t be there all the time, hydro systems have a way of breaking or leaking I find

yeah you can push to 1000/1200ppm`s no problem, maybe push one plant to 1800 or 2000ppm see if it burns so you know for next time how far you can push them

Until you burn them normally more food means more buds, more frost and more smell, you know if the feed is balanced correctly and ph is good, airflow and light and so on

I'm in soil, Black Gold organic soil to be exact. So tomorrow night I'll be feeding them again, so I'll probably add maybe five Mils extra per gallon of Bloom to hit that 1000 PPM mark.

You think being 33 days into flowering it's still not too late to save the crop, add some good crystallization to them and get some good smell?

your like 4 weeks maybe 5 weeks in ??

nah you can go 8 weeks easy so you have 4 weeks where you can slam the food into them and cut it down to just potassium

Yeah you should be able to go 1000ppm you might be able to go to 2000ppm

I remember seeing my mate added pk 13/14 for his soil grows he`d put so much at the time I fed according to what biobizz said normally 1/2 strength the after seeing him I tried double strength, that`s like 1000 or 1500ppms hard to remember

he musta been feeding 2000 to 3000ppm atleast

after that I realized feeding my outdoor plants 1/2 ot 1/4 as strong as my inside plants was why my inside plants had way more sugar and taste

just about getting potassium into them once they go past 3/4 weeks some balance is good but they mostly just need potassium sulphate, even more so in soil as all the micro nutes should be in the soil

push it up to 1000ppm for sure then maybe try 1200ppm see how you go I bet you can peak them at 2000ppm for 2 weeks then drop to 1000ppm of potassium sulphate for a week or 2 or do the last week just water or sugar water whatever the finishing method you like best is

I just know putting extra potassium sulphate works well until you burn them but to burn a plant I have to normally go well over 2000ppm by the time its in bloom

I mean late veg I`m feeding 700ppm to 1400ppm sometimes, ok remember that my water is 400ppm when I start adding food so if I say 1400ppm that`s 1000ppm of nutes I`ve added

around 2 weeks into flower I start upping it aiming to be at 2000ppm by week 4 of flower, then I go to just potassium sulphate or dextrose around 1 to 4 weeks before cropping

but they looks good just they could be fatter, more potassium is what they need so they fatten, swell up and make some orange hairs :p

Awesome my man thank you for the tips and advice. I'll definitely push them to the 1000 PPM mark this next feeding and see how they do, move up from there depending on how they look.

I'm very happy with the size of the buds so far, I think I'm going to have a nice yield, I've just been worried about them not crystallizing the way I'm used to. I've been growing for around 4 years now with very simple recipes but my yield has still been over a pound per light and around week 4 I usually have double the amount and size crystals they are now. Which has gotten me worried. So hopefully up in the PPM is will change that, increase the crystallization and increase the smell of it.

are these clones or a strain you always grow ?

How old are your bulbs now ?

There is no set time limit for quality produce. Check your production under magnification, look for the results you want, try a test sample periodically, and harvest when you're satisfied.

I don't think I've ever seen a ripe bud from the dispensary offerings I've seen people spend money on.

I've got plants in their second run in flower state and they are falling over with buds. They should have been done according to what you will read, but these plants decided there was enough light for another run so I let them go. They're not pretty, but they are potent.

No never grown this strain before, but I know these clones are good genetics, and I've done a lot of research.

Brand new bulbs, there iPower light bulbs.

Next run you`ll feed them more sooner and they`ll come better and faster, smell more too

New strain an all always takes some dialing in
