HTGsupply.com is really the only place I have ordered online with no hassles from. I hate buying stuff on the internet but you can find nutes and a ph tester there. Best thing would be to find a local hydro store. Good nute brands are Botanicare, Fox Farms, Advanced Nutrients, Ionic, and many many others.

It really depends on your space. I can get away with cheap box fans because my closet is attached to a big room with a/c and the door always remains open. If your area is sealed, you need some inline fans that hook up to ducting you can run to a ventilated area.

i was expecting them to be as good as dead. They look ok. Just do what Mared Juwan has said and all should be good!

you can tell the difference 2 weeks into flowering white pistils is a female green balls are males and the miracle grow soil is kinda bad for growing herbs because it comes with food and everytime u water the plant the soil releases more nutes id go with an organic soil so when it comes time to transplant into bigger pots take the soil into consideration and if u are just growing for personal use then a regular rotating household fan will work fine...go ahead and flower them now to decide the sex if its a female id keep it as a mother plant and put it back into vegging cycle and clone her... an ideal lighting system for 1 plant would be 7 42w cfl's surrounding the plant from top to bottom... remember if ur plant is 12 inches b4 u flower its gonna be about 36 inches when the plant is done budding.

The plants look good! CFL's dont give off much heat to begin with so you dont have to worry there! (thats the beauty of them)! Your plants look like they are streching a little bit but you can fix this by putting the lights closer! CFL's can be grown within inches of the lights. This will make them shorten up a bit. I would still recommend getting a fan because it will strengthen the overall plant stem. Getting a couple more lights couldn't hurt but keep up the good work! Any idea what strains they are?

p.s. im a first time grower but my plants looked almost exactally like this when i started but after moving my lights closer and putting the fan on the got a lot stronger and all around healthier. I also tried putting them in the sun for a couple hours (if you can do that) and that seemed to really help.

hope this helped! happy growings!

what should i be feeding them....
20-20-20 at 1 level teaspoon a gallon of water 1 cup of solution per gallon of soil AFTER you've watered to the point of runoff. You can feed that every watering as long as you flush it with water first. I go two weeks into flowering then switch to 15-30-15 same strength.
Forget about that HID heat detection thing, it's an urban myth.
