They are to small to see if they have legs or not but all I know is they are little white things and they swim! Anybody ever seen these??

Time to dump that res and do a good cleaning of the system.
It would be nearly impossible to clean it out now because all the plants are sitting on the res and are all true a net to make a scrog... there is 2 more weeks until harvest so am just wondering if it will be ok leaving them their until then?

Do they jump?
If they do they are probably springtails.

Do you have a wet/dry vac to at least get that water out of there? You can use a little H2O2 to kill them first. Then refill with nutrient solution. I've heard of people using mosquito dunks but I'm somewhat skeptical of that method even though they're just a bacteria that kills the larvae and should pose no harm to plants.

dunks work, they're just a different form of BT...maybe not bt but the same kind of thing.
hydrogen peroxide will work too, and dissolve the maggots, just be careful not to over do it.

It looks like springtails from what I can tell, which if that's the case then you're perfectly fine! I did a few runs with those lil critters and they never caused an issue.. not really beneficial either though. It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of them, but first I removed the visible bugs, and then I used a wee bit of peroxide, a drop of neem oil, and a drop of non-concentrated dawn dish soap in each bucket and within a few res changes they disappeared.

Springtails I’d say. Shop vac the res out ASAP. After the round comes down do a hard cleaning of the system.

I would probably keep an eye for them to come back because they will then shop vac again as nessasary.

the "issue" with having springtails is cleanliness. hydro is way more dependent on cleanliness than growing in soil (not that there is any excuse for a dirty grow room, no matter what method you use)
they're eating something, and they don't eat weed, so what's in your res to feed them? and what happens to their little corpses as they die? they become nutes for whatever the rest of them are eating.....
