I just got 3 100 watt Grow lights
They're made by Bulbrite
So since my plant is still just a seedling. How far away should I keep them? It has only developed the first two leaves (embryo leafs) and the first two spikey leafs
Or should I keep them in the dark? I have been giving them sunlight, but now I have my grow lights so yeah

what HPS lights did you find that will go into a regular light fixture... i think you are a little confused. you got 3 100 watt equivalent 23 watt CFL bulbs probably. If you are using the CFLs keep them 3 inches from the plants. Also if your growing indoors you may not want to give them sunlight. If you sprayed water on your plants the lights can cause those little droplets of water on the leaves to burn the leaf in that spot thus creating yellow spots on your leaves. I would not mist and only water when your pot feels like its extremly light.

That would make sense. The HPS light was a 100 watt off brand kind, yet fit into a standard base, but it'd require a ballast. Thanks for telling me not to give them sunlight, I wasn't quite sure about that. And that would explain why the have the burns (as far as watering goes)

From what I can tell, it would seem that while it LOOKS like the same socket, it is not the same socket. Like you said, it requires a ballast, and you connect the bulb to a cord which connects to the ballast, like any HPS light. (So it doesn't go in a regular socket.)
Not entirely sure, just what I came up with by googling "100 watt Hps standard socket" out of curiousity.
