Hi recently posted this problem in the newbies with litlle response.iam new on here so hopefully this is in the right section.Ive had these seeds for about 3 weeks now.all 50 germinated fine inside 36 hours.Then i placed under 4 flouresent power plant lights .They all sprouted fine .They all seemed to be doing fine then suddenly started turning a pale colour .the ph is at 6.1 and in a canna seed mix soil.they have been sprouted now for about 20 days and i have seen little growth.I dont think i have over watered .Some people say it needs a little food some people say no food at all. I have given them a little spray on the underside of leafs with a very weak fishmix as to me they look like they need nitrogen.I have only grew from seed before with no probs so am a bit confused.They are currently under a 1000w mh .hope ive given enough infomation.THANKS for the read all help welcome.

well definatley do not add nutes at all plz i hate when ppl say add more nutes to a seedling DOESNT NEED NUTES. i would leave it for now if your using flourescent lower the light to about 1 inch from seedlings and keep the air a decent temp let them grow see what the second sprout looks like when they are really small its kind of hard to determine what the problem could be.

I had a problem with a seedling and people told me not to feed it. I ended up feeding it and it exploded. 20 days of growth should be alot bigger than that. I have a couple seedlings that are a week old and bigger. I haven't fed them yet but they are a healthy green.
If you are scared to feed them, try feeding just 1 and see what happens.

Thanks yea they are def a bit small what sort of feed is a safe option a little bio grow or fish mix??? I have got all 50 under a 1000w mh about 36 inches above for the heat reasons is that better than dropping the 4 flouresent tubes right over think they are only 150 watts per two tubes ?? cheers for the respones chaps.
damn those shold be way bigger than that for 20 days 1000w seems like a bit much for seedlings but im no expert on that i usually keep mine under flauros for a week or so and they usually get a couple sets of leaves.
on my last batch of seeds i fed a couple and water only a couple after about a week after sprout i use a guano worm castings tea.and man let me tell u that the ones i fed the tea doubled the size of the ones that werent fed in just a couple of days the growth comparison was unreal if ur gonna feed it go organic its safer and easyer to use. but in all fairness if u have a good soil mix u shouldint have to feed them for a few weeks also make sure ur soil is draining well if the water dont escape properly the soil stays to wet and they wont root properly hence no growth they gotta search for water a lil iver had this prob when using foam cups to start

so what exactly is that stuff u got ur seedlings in does it have any nutes added to it ??? im not familiar with that stuff but after looking at those pics again them plants remind me of some plant i started in some crap soil mixed with cow shit like 10 years ago .
i also just ordered a pack of these swiss cheese seeds waiting on getting them i hope its not just a bum batch of seeds its a new strain so i bet theres not a whole lot of people who grew it yet

Hi mate the soil is canna terra seed mix it is simular to light biobizz light mix although i didnt have this problem before when using that.very low nutes.Iam wondering if i over watered them eraly.I have backed off the water. I might move them to BIOBIZZ ALL MIX any surgestions.??
do those containers have good drainage if so its hard to over water but u should be letting the soil dry up a bit before rewatering if its a light mix i might try some guano tea on a couple to see if that turns them around if u fear u over watered them maybe u did that could very well be the cause just lay back on the water reason being they dont have the leaf capacity to expel all that water yet hoppefully they will turn around for u soon i would hate to hear that u wasted ur moey on 50 seeds and have it all go down the shiter
