Hi guys,

Its not my first grow but still a bit of a newb..and hey everyday is still a school day when it comes to growing...so my problem is.....

I am currently at about 3.5 weeks into flower, my 2 month old 400w hps light never came on this morning with the timer, did the usual checks changed the fuse, checked the bulb but it seems to be a ballast problem, spoke to the supplier and they are sending a courier tomorrow to collect, repair and send it me back...to be fair great service but that doesn't really help my plant situation.

A friend is bringing me over a 600w hps (hopefully tonight) that i can use till the end of the grow or til I get my light back.

I have a 150w blue spectrum cfl that i use for seedlings and the early stages of veg so I have stuck that over them for now and have just gone and bought 2 30w cfl's to add some red in there and will eventually use them for a lowryder grow

They missed about 3 hours of light this morning, they are set at 6am to 6pm, so by rights should be off by now but unsure what to do, should I switch them off now and just start off again in the morning with hopefully the 600w hps

or should i let them run on til 9pm so they still get the full 12 hours and then re-start them in the morning again at 6am?

What will be best and will there be massive implications caused from my problems today.

Thanks...any advice greatly received.

In all seriousness, if you're plants are a good size, you could just keep the light off them for a few days without them dying. It would also boost flower production.
I wouldn't be too worried if I were you as long as you get one of them HPS lights within the next week.
