EDIT: they are THREE weeks into flowering, but two weeks w/o the screen

Some background: I started 9 plants in a ScrOG from bagseed. Three ended up being female but the logistics of removing the males and moving the females closer to the light was too much. I had to cut the screen away.

They were about 10 inches then. 2 weeks after removing the screen, they have basically tripled in size as you can see in the photo. One of them is now touching the glass of the air-cooled 400watt HPS.

It runs relatively cool, but it will definitely burn if it's that close. How the hell do I fix this? I just took some wire, attached it to the side of the box and pulled the tallest stem to the side a little bit so it's no longer directly underneath the light. How much more are they going to grow?

I had no idea they would shoot up this much, this fast.

Mj Plants will stretch up to 4 weeks, but If your 3 weeks in, she has pretty much reached her peak. You'll have to keep her out of the bulb... Do your best in tying her up.

Next time you may wanna remember this, When you flip the switch(12/12)

Sativa's usually triple in heighth
Indica's Usually double in heighth

Good luck bro :)

Will I lose some density on the primary bud if the top of the main stem isn't in direct light?

I had no idea what type of MJ this was when I started... I saw the plant the seeds came from as it was drying and it was nothing special. Certainly nothing like what I'm getting. I think this definitely a sativa thoughl.

3 words, low stress training.....
I actually LST'd them for like 3 weeks and then threw a screen on them.

I ran into a BUNCH of problems in the first 3-4 weeks of veg on the plants that all ended up being male. the only plants that I didn't have problems with were the ones that ended up being female.

I basically tried to fix the problems with the other plants before going 12/12 and obviously vegged them too long for my grow space.

tying them down is your only real option at this point, lol, topping or *supercropping" are out of the picture, your plant looks great, each shoot should hopefully turn into top colas, if your having light penetration problems add some sidelighting (i use cfls then tie down the plant so its basically surrounding the light on all sides, therfore not wasting any of the light that would shoot off and get weakly reflected from the side thats not facing the plant)
