Help... 1st timer

Hey Guys,

First time grower here.

2 x Bubble bomb and 1 Grand Daddy purple
Running 600w hid
1.2x1.2 tent
Temps between 28 day time 20night time
Humidity I’m struggling with even with humidifier at 10% constant
Medium is PLAGRON light mix.
Tap water but ph 6.5
Soil ph is 6.3

Day 8 since planted seeds

I noticed a few days ago (day 5)the leaves curling up very slightly on the bubble bomb plants . I noticed my temp was spiking during the day to 33 so I invested in anew fan and humidifier 2 days ago and since then temps have been averaging around 20night time and 28day time. I noticed the roots had reached bottom of the initial 1 gallon pots so I replanted yesterday in to the final 50l pots.

Now the medium I am using gives upto 2 weeks of nutrients so I have not fed them anything apart from water as of yet.

I though it was all just down to temp but after the temp being stable the last few days and the curling continuing it’s started to worry me. Is it down to the humidity? Any advice guys ...

How much do you water them and how often. Thats an awful little girl for such a big pot. I see water pretty far to the edge.

The pic was taken this morning. The water was from the first feed (yesterday add d 1 liter of water per plant (50 litres of medium) they only just gone in the larger pots the issue was there when they were in the 1 gallon pots as well.

You arent watering a 50l pot. You are watering a tiny plant in a 50l pot. You also water when dry. Theres no way 1L of water dries from that every other day. Water when your plant/soil tell you. Not the schedule you think. Those roots need to breath if you saturate them all the time they will grow slow and you run the risk of many other problems later.

Such a waste of power. You can put those under CFL's for the first weeks of growth. Microwaving them at such a young age is hard on them.

All of the above. Unless you literally have no other option I wouldn't have a plant that young under a 600w hid. A couple cfls or a 2ft t5 shop light would be fine. It's workable, just not ideal. When you water a plant that small in a container that big you have to try and picture it like one baby duck in a giant pond. If you want to feed the baby duck you don't fill the whole damn pond with a truckload of bird feed, you sprinkle a small amount in the immediate vicinity of the duck. Over watering tiny plants in huge containers is the main reason I recommend that people start in very small containers (solo cups) and up pot when needed. Good luck.

I start mine in red party cups for 2 weeks then transplant into 1.5 gal containers for weeks then into the containers that you currently have them in. t5 lights will save your electricity bill at this stage in growth

Where exactly are you taking temp measurements? They look heat stressed. Try measuring under light, directly on top of the canopy. And 600 watt HPS is an overkill for seedlings. Too much water as well.

Honestly I think they look fine. The odd crinkle in the first true leaves is something you see once in awhile that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with any environmental factors. 10% humidity is something you'll to fix ASAP though.

There's nothing wrong with going straight to a big pot as long as you understand proper watering. It's actually better since you handle them less and there's fewer chances to slow down the plant. As far as the lighting I'll start under hid to but not hps.

Im in shock that 3 plants with 6 leaves between them needed to be transplanted because they were pushing roots out the bottom of a 1 gal pot.

If you don't have a different light you need to raise that 600 up about three feet from the top of the pot.

If your worried about the low humidity right now you can get 3 clear 2ltr pop containers and cut the bottom off, leave the cap off, spray a little bit of water on the inside, remove a couple of time a day to exchange the air in the 2ltr, don't spray your plants.
