I used half inch nylon rope, looped into a circle around the whole plant, then either side of the circle has rope secured to the bar my light is hanging from.

I have some beans coming in the mail, I might just decide to chop them down a little bit early in order to get started on some good genetics

Should have left the nanner weed in your case. The seeds would be feminized. The weed would smoke.

I decided the risk of hermie seeds was too high - plus since all 3 came from bagseed, I can't guarantee they're not all hermie and I just missed the balls/nanners. Therefore I can't definitively say that each plant isn't just self-pollinated.

Current plan if it works out is to grow out a male/female and make my own seeds. Once I have a cache to fall back on, I'll try my hand at feminizing

Balls are balls and nanners are nanners. Totally different outcome and seed sex.

I'm aware of this. The plant I pulled had both. Idk about you but I can't look at a seed and tell you what type of pollen sack on which plant helped produce it. Therefore any and all seeds from each of these plants will be separated and stored with the label ''Backup Seeds" and used for fun/expermintation/what have you.

Instead I will rely on the more stable genetics I have coming and do my best to create myself a plethora of usable, quality seeds. Unfortunately I only have 1 grow area with no option for another, so I'll probably just have to throw a boy and girl in the closet for a little 7 minutes in heaven session and let them go wild. With this batch of seeds (this is assuming I'm successful - your hopes of this are probably higher than mine LOL) I will of course cull back males early and hope to grow some nice sensimilla for the first time!

Update on the sativa I chopped: dried enough for jars within 4 days due to the light airy buds from being premature. Smoke is better than what I've paid for in the past so I'm satisfied. I got about 2oz dried (I eyeballed this as I don't own a scale, of course accounting for the airiness of the buds).

We're smoking on it as it cures so it's not going to reach it's peak potential. I can hypothsize it'll be on par with some mids, were it allowed a good long cure. I may save a small amount to test this theory, but then again, probably not.
