Hey guys and girls,

i was interested in growing when i was young didnt have enough money to buy a proper setup. I stole some seeds from my step dad and started them in a little grow-your-own herb garden kit. After telling my parents they were mung bean seeds left over from my science fair experiment i transplanted them outside, but they died soon after.

Later I bought a few cfl's and started some seeds that came from my step dad's outdoor plant in some huge pots. Instead of getting into trouble i was given advice! I was told to use smaller pots and to keep the light much closer to the plant. The plants never made it.

I am no longer in touch with my step dad, but this site has given me much info. I am now into my second grow and enjoying my new hobby.

thank you and i hope to be able to give back to the community.

pardon me? i guess the simplest answer would be no.

I dont know what a hothouse is...like a green house?

Are you transplanting them or just moving them with the container? I think the basic thing would be that they get 12 hours of sunlight and 12 hours of darkness, inside the hothouse or out in the garden.

i hope this helps. If not then write more about it.
