Hello RIU Community! First Grow Journal - SinCity Cherry Fuel + Freebies

Hello riu community! first let me start by saying thank you in advance for any guidance provided by my fellow members. i'm always open to suggestions and help and i believe that there is much to be learned from everyone here.

This will be my first grow journal. I will be growing 4 of sin city's cherry fuel alongside the mazar kush and white widow x afghan kush fem freebies i received from the 'tude. All 6 already in soil waiting to pop. the Mazar kush is the first and only to have broke ground just about twenty mins ago.

Will be using cfl bulbs for seedling growth, switching to a single 400w hps lamp for veg n two 400w bulbs for flower. hopefully ill be upgrading to a single 1000w light within 3 months .

I will be using soil as my medium, fox farm ocean forest throughout. i have heard many people talk about it burning seedlings and such, but have never had that problem in my experience with it, although i do flush the cups i place the seeds in a bit as a precautionary measure. Nutrients used will be the Roots Organics line along with superthrive and general organics cal-mg supplement.

Well hello there, welcome and yes good luck with your grow, just wondering why not use a MH for veg? anyhow will be looking forward to see how your grow works out, keep us posted.

Thank you for the welcome. As for the MH i dont have one yet... unfortunately my house was broken into during my last living arrangements and i lost a bit of equipment....

Also 3 of 4 cherry fuels have broke ground as well as the mazar. Pics coming soon!

As im sure many of you have noticed Cherry Kush #2 was skipped over, due to me having another stoner moment whilst sowing the seeds and forgetting which cups i had already seeded. Decided to just get an extra cup rather than possibly double seeding..... AfKush x Widow just is poking its pretty head out of the soil this morning, no pic available yet.

My plan for these little (hopefully) girls is to veg for about 1 1/2 months while topping and lst to create even canopies and plenty of healthy branches for cuttings. Eventually taking a couple clones of each just before flowering to keep as a mother plant for my eventual keeper, provided there is a mother worth a permanent spot. This will be my first shot at propagating cuttings, so any experience and advice is more than welcome. i have done plenty of research on the forums and believe i have sufficient knowledge to make an attempt myself, as i am constantly regretting not cloning my sour purple skittles pheno of TGA's querkle i found in a 10 pack. tastiest frostiest dank i ever got my hands on..... but we live and we learn i suppose. Hopefully i'll find myself a dank cherry pheno this run to help soothe my flavorful bud cravings. I'm thinking the pack of Blue Tara from bodhi seeds i got coming in will help in that aspect as well .

If their cherry fuel is anything like their other strains, you're in for a treat! I really LOVE SinCitySeeds! Their Nightmare line is going to be hitting shelves in roughly 2-3 weeks and I am beside myself with joy! I was a tester for Alien Nightmare and man, it packs a punch! I'll be ordering those as soon as they release, until then I'll be watching your grow!

Thanks! Had my eye on those beans as well, opted for the cherry cuz i wanted the sweet flavor possibility. please let me know how those work out for you and if you have a journal, i'd love to run those at some point myself. Too many strains not enough space or time... guess we all have the same issue tho

Thanks for the input. i was interested in the white line i saw on their website, do u have a journal on the Alien Nightmare? if so ill have a look always interested in seeing sin city gear.

I did man, but not on this website. It was at one that is now defunct and at that time this website kept giving me viruses. So that thread doesn't exist anymore, sadly. But I'll have a full smoke report on her next weekend sometime.

Oh also, she grew to nearly 6 feet from tip to bottom not including the 5 gallon bucket.

She vegged for 30 days.
Flowered almost 60 days ish. Give or take a few.
She stretched like crazy during flower, wasn't till close to the end that she stopped.

Had my buddy finish growing her out. Had to because i was moving during her veg growth and the wife and i didn't want it taken with us just in case trouble should follow. So were halving the harvest and hes bringing it up next weekend.

how much did she yield? had a querkle pheno that stretched to 5.5 from a 5 gallon, thinner nugs only got a bit over a oz off her. Ive been working on my canopy manipulation ever since as i felt a bit screwed over by the yield off that monster....

Not as much as we had hoped, about 2 1/4 oz. He's bringing down a few clones i made off her a month back when i went to visit, so I'll be able to get them to produce that but in my small grow cab. It was his first grow too so that has some play in there. He still did a good job though.

Yeah you should have gotten closer to 8 oz or more easy. Same with this one.
