Hello From The Other Side Of The Pond.

greetings fellow tokerz,

Im from the UK and registered after finding the autoflower thread. I'm a newbie to autoflowering plants and currently have 2 easy riders from de sjamaan growing in a closet now. Since I'm on a very tight budget, My current setup is primitive and basic. I'm planning to expand the setup later, but it will also be in the basic form mainly due to the lack of space and budget situations.

I've just started to grow 2 easyriders around a week back with 2 x 25 w CFLs in Peat jiffy pots with organic soil without any perlite. I know how perlite is useful for water retention and drainage, but with the local supply store (read ASDA aka Wallmart UK) stocking only basic gardening supplies, i'm restricted to what I get.

I'm planning on adding more 11w 2700K CFl's after another week or so. The fert's which I have in stock were nicked form the neighbours shared local backyard garden. They are Doff's tomato fertlizer, which I figured could be used later during flowering mainly from its NPK ratio (2:3:3).

I'm figuring I'll transplant them later in a week or so to a decent sized pots ( The thing you see in a dollarstore/pound stores) I figure they are atleast 6 lts in capacity which should provide some decent space for the taproot to grow and bring around a decent yield. I'm not into commercial grows as the grow was a result of rage against the local schwag i ended up with. I'm more than happy to harvest atleast 2-5 gms per plant as I appreciate more quality than quantity.

I'm planning to pollinate just a few pistils later on for some seeds, after reading a few tutorials here and elsewhere. Why ? It can be classified as an investment for the future. The Initial batch of seeds consisted of easy rider (reg) , Top skunk 44 (reg), Northern Lights (fem), short rider (fem). I decided to do adopt the strategy of crossing the autoflowers and cloning the regulars for furture crops.

So people, wish me luck as I emabark upon the most fascinating journey of my life.

Cheers!

SID

forget about ASDA mate, get yourself down to wilkinsons, got pretty much everything you will need if your growing in soil, also dont be tempted to use the cheap grow bags full of soil from asda , i made that mistake last year, full of gnats an bugs
